I have to secure a slope over a length of almost 30 meters. For this purpose, I use gabions. These filled stone baskets
I have already installed in different variants on my property.
In this project, an existing gabion wall is to be extended and thereby intercept an approx. 2 meter high earth slope in the garden.
In addition, a staircase is to be installed in the middle. Water pipes, empty pipes as well as sewage pipes have to be built in as well
as well as a filter fleece against contamination. Ultimately, the baskets will then be filled with stones by hand.
The project will start in the fall of 2019.

#6 Fill in granite stones
I received 25 tons of granite from the nearby quarry. The stones are in the size 80 x 125.
So they can either be sorted into the stone baskets, or just thrown in.
The gabions are filled up piece by piece. At the front I insert the granite stones from the quarry and
align them. In the back of the basket, I use old granite paving stones that were installed on my property.
With the spirals the baskets are then closed and the slope is secured.
