Two factor authentication is becoming a common requirement for software applications, but sometimes organizations are reluctant to add the friction of an authenticator app to the login process. As a compromise, groups of users with access to sensitive data can be required to use multi factor authentication rather than the whole user base. Members of an accounting group or systems administrators are good examples. Microsoft has made it easy to implement multi factor authentication in a ASP.Net application, but implementing it for groups of users is a little tougher. Obviously, I’ve got a solution for you.
