She obviously doesn't willingly WANT to capture and hurt Gregory, but William Afton is forcing her to do this, threatening her with torture if she fails to find him and all the other missing children. This also makes saving her and using Princess Quest to release her from his control much more meaningful and impactful than it currently is in-game.

A lot of her lines really make her sound trusting

It seems weird at first that they kept the 'you deserve a reward' line, because there's nothing at the main stage...but then, that's an interesting thing; she's playing at Gregory's curiosity. From where you are when the line is said, if you go back to the main stage, you won't have enough time to get to the front doors. She's trying to lure him into wasting time until Moon can attack.

The way Vanessa said “I’m sorry, I think we lost him” seems like she’s talking to her master Springtrap.

Alot of people I've seen play this game don't notice this weird detail but Vanessa has Purple painted nails. I thought it was weird at first until I realized the assumption that she's under Afton's control. weird but nice touch.

So not the point, but her voice is so pretty. It doesn’t help that I, someone older than Gregory, would be easily fooled if she told me she could help, and that’s an honest statement.

She clearly had a drastic change during development, not only does she show up once and has fazer blast reactions even thought you shouldnt have you one by then, but here lines that are used are so conflicting, her old sweet lines “come on out” And then her new ones “you little monster”

Some of the lines in the video heavily impact that Vanessa is Vanny at some point, most likely. While we're near to one of the endings of the game, she says this line in one of the endings or even before. She says this line, "Gregory! I think you deserve a reward. Go check the main stage." She says this in a creepy tone, which had me a feeling that she may be Vanny at some point. Plus, few or some people say that Vanny hacked the animatronics in order to catch Gregory. But then, we see Vanessa telling Freddy about catching Gregory if he spot Gregory. That's another point of her being Vanny, if Vanessa was nice. She would've let Gregory escape, but she's very aggressive to Gregory and it feels like as if she's trying to do something to Gregory. Edit: another thing is, in one of the endings where Vanny, Gregory and Freddy were sitting on the hill also gives me a point that Vanessa is Vanny. Well, what I meant is that if Vanny and Vanessa were twins. Shouldn't they BOTH be on the hill if they were separate people? So, that's another point of Vanny being Vanessa.

God what a shame that so much was cut from this game. Vanessa deserved so much more 😢 This game could have been so much better and was looking that way. And I'm not even talking about what was cut from the initial trailer....that makes this whole situation even worse..... Here's hoping she gets to shine in the dlc and beyond 🙏

Those sound files at the end have me convinced that she was going to be a playable character. Otherwise, why have her record lines for things like jumping and falling? I think the best way to have implemented her as a playable character would have been to free her from Afton's control via Princess Quest. Then, once she's free, you can "contact" her via the Fazwatch, which basically switches the player's control from Gregory to Vanessa from anywhere in the Pizzaplex, so that way you can explore 2 parts of the Pizzaplex that are far apart from each other without always having to run all the way over there. It would be the responsibility of the player to space Gregory and Vanessa apart from each other to get the most use out of the character swap.

I had freaky moment at a save terminal once where as I was saving in the menu I saw her flashlight beam on the wall facing me, so when I turned around she was just staring and waiting, so I booked it to a vent. I wish I recorded because it was so dumb when it happened.

I wish she would have been more relevant in the story I really hope we get dlc or a sequel with her in it more

Honestly, they could have done much more with her, I mean, the one time where you are avoiding the security guard (Since we played as the security guard when the franchise started, and it kinda went from there.) It wasn't even for very long, she has more interactions with other characters than actual gameplay sequences.

I am 100%, beyond any reasonable doubt, Vanessa and Vanny are one and the same. When Gregory discovered Vanny’s hideout, Freddy states that it is no coincidence. More proof to back it up are the retro cds of Vanessa’s therapy with her psychiatrists, the emails from both “FNAF: Special Delivery AR” and “FNAF: Security Breach” highlight Vanessa's interest in bunnies, as she requests a rabbit-themed cake for her birthday. Additionally, orders placed from Vanessa's computer suggest she's buying fur for a fursuit. Vanessa is irrefutably Vanny, the Reluctant Follower of Glitchtrap, AKA William Afton.

Dang, Children would be VERY MAD at Vanessa if they heard her RUDE words.

I think the reason why Vanessa is so hot-tempered in this game is because she is under afton's control and I also think that Vanessa is Vanny because Vanessa is the only blond that we see and security breach and when we unmask Vanny in the fire escape ending we see that she is indeed a blond woman and it has to be Vanessa because she is the only blond character we see in the game
