Honestly he's right about it not beinga pedestrian area. Once you are on their property you are their responsibility. If you hurt yourself then HSE will come down on THEM like a ton of bricks. HSE will say 'why did you let this idiot on your site and he got run over and killed' - essentially it will be >>>> and they wall get a massive fine that could put them out of business. Yes they have to cater for idiots. Look up all the case law. It's even more onerous on building sites with kids, if kids get on a building site and fall through an old roof they were climbing all over it will be the owners fault. Please don't go on site without the correct PPE and stay in pedestrian areas at all times. I think he has a right to be annoyed with you. You are risking your life and their company.
