Trip to the Sedgefield Model Railway Show which was held in the local Parish Hall. The event took place on Saturday 24th September and was organised by the Making Tracks Railway Society, supported by a number of local traders. There were eleven working layouts on display, all of which can been seen in this review of the show.

Buttes - Based on American National Parks
Sawlesdon Lane - Inglenook Shunting Layout

Arsbeck Werburg - Based on Werburg and Arsbeck in Germany
Barnsley Lane - Northern Townscape
St. Caths - East Lindsey District of Lincolnshire
East Dock - Depicts a small Diesel Shed
Cannon Bay - Layout set in the 1970s
The above layouts will provide inspiration and ideas for the continued development of Thorp End.
Thorp End is a DCC N Gauge Model Railway running a mixture of Steam Locomotives and Diesel Trains, there are a number of 1980s Hornby Minitrix trains that have been converted from DC to DCC to operate on the layout along with some more modern Graham Farish rolling stock.
