I think he knew he was going to die on that very journey to his village, so he didn’t want to share a car with others because they might get hurt too, I think that was why he insisted to tow the car by himself, and of he uses a flight , am sure he was scared the plane will crash and other innocent people will die

The fact your father did business with him and he provided the products doesn’t make him a good person. As you know, there are two sides of a coin….. also, every human being has his or her own perspective of things. You saw this side of him …. That doesn’t mean his other side did not exist. You can’t tell me all the media have said about Victor Okafor is a lie. Are they that jobless to come up with these lies? And how come all the stories correspond? Have you sat down to think about that? I guess not. When blindfolded, a person might touch an elephant and call it a tree while another person might feel it and call it an elephant as it is. My point is this…. everyone has their different perspective of life. Don’t forget that👍🏽

Good narrative but the fact is that he died on December 23rd, 1998. He and his travelling team left Lagos on the 22nd of December and spent overnight on the road due to the faulty Cherokee Jeep which slowed them down. The said accident happened in the dawn of December 23rd but news of his death officially went public on December 26th and newspaper reports said that the Cherokee Jeep fell into a ditch, pulling the Lexus Jeep along with it. He was going home to celebrate the Christmas in an unusual way in 1998, having been released from detention by the late Gen. Sani Abacha's Government on the suspicion of bank fraud and also to 'wash' the Lexus Jeep which was the very first brand of the Lexus SUV series to be imported into Nigeria. So very sad that 23 whooping years have passed since his demise and all it all just feels like it was yesterday. May God forgive his shortcomings and grant him eternal life, Amen.

The best is to win God's approval and rest in his bosom. We all can be whatever we want to be, but then it ends in death. Riches is not a sign of success, It is only a means to an end. But we humans have made riches an end itself as if we were created by God to be rich (clothing, houses, food and drink) and die. No... we were created to use those things to praise God and befriend him by putting the devil to shame. Sustenance is all we need according to 1 TIMOTHY 6: 8

Lol, there's nothing like rituals for money..... That's crap . He had legit business & investments. Perhaps he initially did some drug runs that gave him the initial capital to start business. He's just a victim of accident. It happens to everyone, pastors, Christians, etc

Ignorance and greed killed him. How can a man with such fabled wealth be towing a car by himself when he had dozens of boys to do it for him?

It is expensive to maintain properties like these. The government can take over and build a hospital in honour of him.

Na wa oh! May his soul rest in peace Since he had family, many children , wife and side chicks? Why would they just abandon his properties? There must be another story behind it. I guess he didn't leave any will or instructions with his lawyers incase of sudden death? Another challenge our people have; a man with such wealth should always have a well documented list of wealth, money, properties and investments both home and abroad available with lawyer and wife with instructions incase he was suddenly unavailable or incapacitated. That's how foreign banks make money from us. It is well.
@gboluwagboshittu57482 жыл бұрын
In another account, i heard that the lawyer that was supposed to read his will after his death died with his wife in a supposed armed robbery attack. So there is more to his death being spiritual or due to greed or just an issue of compromised safety. His death could be political(considering the amount of wealth he had at that time), or from an angry business associate or an envious family member. This account of his death is what they want the world to believe about the king of money and it's quite good because most of us believe this story.

A lot of properties are abandoned like that in Igbo land when the man dies and the family are living elsewhere-especially when they live in the cities or in the diaspora.
