Scientists filming in the South Ocean off the coast of New Zealand captured this stunning footage of a blue whale eating a mass of krill. The whales can grow up to the length of three school buses and require a lot of energy to accelerate in the water. They speed up to about 6.7 miles just before consuming the krill, and the act of opening their mouth slows them down to about 1.1 miles per hour. They then have to expend even more energy to get back up to speed. All of this energy spent may lead the whales to be picky eaters, if the mass of krill is too small they may swim through without opening their mouth to feed.

Again adding human traits to animals when most of them don't have that. It has nothing to do with that, animals would eat their prey out to extinction if they could and they kinda do it. Seals are a big problem for fishermen because they will eat all the fish and then starve to death after there is not enough of them.

Yep. They have not been able to connect to the rest of the world with the new (100year old) metric system. Seems like their school buses are all normed; one size only. Hmmm. And that is worrying for us who have about 5 different sizes, not counting the 8 seaters. Well, lets be gentle on the Nat Geographics. They are swimming with the wales, but forgot to click onto the latest mathematical systems. hahahah

The Great Blue Whale is in a class by itself. Majestic, graceful, and is the Newfoundland of the sea. They are kind, loving, and gentle creatures. Their integrity is at a completely different level than human beings. It is totally inexcusable that their population has dwindled because of human rapacity. Their greatness is unparalleled.
