I got caught going 80 in a 35 in a sedan Deville Cop said he chased me for miles and told me he couldn't catch up. I was a teenager flying at 3 am traveling back home from my girlfriends. I don't ever remember them using an actual published popular song. Ride Like The Wind by Christopher Cross was in the showcase and there was a pretty good edit on one of the parts. The other one was a little choppy, but I imagine they used a razor blade cut edit. It was really interesting at that time that the highest winner was over $39,000 up to that point in time. Thank you for sharing.

They did this a LOT way back when, up till at least 1991 I think (they used Madonna songs over the credits each day of the 20th season premiere week). If you only watched after that (which I did admittedly too, being born in 1987), you'd not know of that, but it was very commonplace during this period and before. Celebration by Kool and the Gang was used a couple years earlier to close a 10th anniversary show I believe as another example.
