If you ever go to Stockholm don't forget to visit the museum that lies beneath the castle of Stockholm, it keeps Carolus's uniform that he was wearing the day he got killed along with his sword and other things. 300 years later and you can still see the mud and blood on his uniform. It feels unreal! Thank you for reacting to this awesome song btw. You should actually do the entire album, both in English and Swedish, you will not regret it.

Not sure if it has been requested yet or not but Long Live the King is a great song about Carolus's death.

Just stumbled upon you today and got super excited when I saw how much love you are giving to Sabaton. I was fortunate enough to get to see them in concert last October. They were absolutely amazing live! It was the second best concert I've ever seen. Oh, and bonus!! Hammerfall opened for them. They were so good!!

Lamongron I am honestly surprised Sabaton has never done anything on Otto von Bismarck, the man almost single handedly made Germany what it was in WW1

@@wonkagaming8750 but, bismarck wasnt a nazi.... Otto Von bismarck was a prussian court member who, over the later years of the 1800's, united many of the smaller german states into a single, co-hesive country under the Holenzoller (kaiser of Prussia) crown.

Carolux Rex was, I think, was the greatest king in Scandinavia since viking age. Me, as a norwegian have no problem saying that. The swedes are our brother neighbour. In Carolus' time we fought against his army, without meeting him on his strongest. He died, norwegians believe, from a canistershot from the norwegian fortress at Fredrikshald, though there has been, and still is much speculation about this. Did he die from a shot from one of their own exhausted soldiers? Nevertheless, this song, Carolus Rex is a good start for the reactionvideos about him, and I hope you carry on with the songs A lifetime at war, The Carolean's prayer ,and at last the song about his death: Long Live the King. Keep up with the great work. Love it.

BTW early Swedish kings were really awesome. Gustaf II Adolf basically modernised warfare in europe. Gustav X AKA Karl X was a veteran from 30 year war were Sweden were a major power was took the name Karl X and statred the caolean line anew. His predecessor Karl XI basically built up Swedens military power to the max to constantly have battle trained veterans at the ready with an isntistution called "indelningsverket" which is a precursor to todays way of having a standing army. Every farm in the state were required to feed x amount of soldiers that had to work in the farm for living until he was made a veteran when he could own his own farm. This soldier were given a cow and a pig and some hens and a patch of land and payed a soldiers payroll he war required to train regularly with his unit and when called to service he would go to his barracks for assignment. That made the army Karl XII took over an awesome and well trained army basically full of well trained soldiers with high discipline. Compared to Russias or other nations called conscripts. Great Britain took this tactics of Sweden and standing army doctrine to heart and thus the red coats were born. Sam is true with the Prussian army. Prussians also have being former Swedish lands a great connection to Swedish society, laws and tactic.

Charles XII (Karl in swedish) ended the Swedish Empire. You can tell the story of said empire through 3 generations of kings with this simple rhyme: Charles X created it, Charles XI enhanced it, Charles XII ruined it.
