I have seen some people put a colonel wasp into a stampede shell. Definitely going to do that if I get a wasp, love the shell of the stampede.

Definitely a classic!!! Have seen the modern "Elite" Stampede from the Icon line? It keeps the general function and feel of the original, but is more powerful!

Honestly I was suspicious of the icon line because the rapid 20 was so leaky and bad was all I heard. I guess I wrongly assumed the new ones would be cheaper :)

@@maritimefoam Oh yeah, the Icon Magstrike production run was for the most part horrible! The Icon Element was actually pretty cool, as it was upgraded to hit mid 70's! The Icon Spectre is a strictly repainted Elite Spectre, but still cool! A lot of people had issues with the Icon Longshot, but mine works great! It has a smaller Retaliator style plunger tube, but hits harder than the original at around 70 FPS. The Icon Stampede is definitely fun! It hits 60's to 70's, and works really well!

Got to love the Stampede. My ECS 50 sits front and centre on our Nerf wall. Also fun fact, if you happen to have the big 50 dart drum from the elite Titan (which is effectively the 50 dart drum the Stampede was designed for, but never got) it balances out the weight of the heavy D cell batteries in the back perfectly. You can one hand the Stampede nicely, although admittedly a bit heavy 😄

I recently got an icon series stampede, and i love it. I did some research, and it turns out it's direct plungered, which I'm guessing you already knew. Also, im assuming you know that at higher voltages, you can start shredding the teeth on the plastic gears.

This one really got me on the nostalgia nerve, I really wanted one of those, but now I just want the bipod and the mags for my MA40, yet I would like to have one of these for some small nerf wars, and maybe someone who can give this and the Halo MA40 a rechargeable lipo battery mod.

For those that are old enough to remember uin13 did a mod on this back in the day on his Reddit page he used alot of airsoft internals to get it ripping awww the good days uin13 long shots are still absolutely legendary and still stand up to anything being done today

Truly amazing what a decade makes in regards to regression! Nerf Nstrike n elite original were gimmicky for the right reasons (not silly Roblox n Minecraft crap) and I dare say tactical! Glad yer showing these treasures- thank u!👍🏆

I remember putting trustfire batteries on that thing. Went from 180rpm to 300rpm, but it started burning the battery case. Fun as heck to do tho.

Used to go over to my buddies house. Him and his younger brother were big into nerf. They had one and I played with it back in the day. Definitely fun, but honestly for basement battles we figured out that the original Raven was much lighter and faster firing.

I had one as a kid. The D cell batteries ran out real quick and were expensive. Gutted the battery tray and replaced it with a 12v motorcycle battery.

Damn you unlocked a core memory from when I was maybe 9 or 10. Watching cartoon network seeing the ads for this new blaster I wanted it so bad. But eventually got the Vulcan and realized I liked that more cus a buddy had the stampede and it just wasn't good. 😅

Just finished modding one of these a few days ago actually. Complete overhaul - rewire, switches, brass breech, metal gears, retaliator plunger tube padding, 9kg spring (I think), 3s lipo, etc etc. If you have any questions when you're modding let me know.

This is the blaster that made me love nerf. I was 9 years old at a friend's house, me and my best friend were gunning down our other friend who was using a single shot buzzbee predator 😂 it felt like pure power to use the stampede against a single shot bolt action.

The Stampede was supposed to come with a 50 dart drum but it would of been too much money to make one so the scrap it. Some Stampedes promotional images and guns call it the Stampede Esc 50, which esc stands for electronic clip system and the number is for the max capacity

I picked up a Stampede in a Nerf bundle I got off Ebay and it came with a Lanard Tri-Blast but the Stampede was what I was really after. It didn't have the accessories but it's still great.

I found a stampede and rapidstrike next to each other a week or two ago at my local Goodwill. Both original run blasters, both $5. Best 10 I ever spent. Though the stampede was missing the attachments

makes me wonder why AEG types arent as popular on the custom nerf market compared to Flywheels. given the right parts and battery, i think it could spit out darts just as fast and strong like their airsoft/gel counterparts.

You will need to install a sheet of plastic between the bolt and the magazine so your bolt won't bite into the following dart as it loads, and will reduce jamming. Easiest way is just taping a thin peice of plastic to the back of the mag.

Funny how we were just talking about this blaster on the big power short. I do have an update on springers. I found a Raider, I think that might be my best bet for my first mod since I can't find a retaliator. However I seem to have lost my small screwdriver set. Once I get a new one I'll be all set to order parts.

Beware the raider! Reverse plunger tube! A bit harder to mod! The Rampage is the mod friendly version that came a little later.

EY! CreateWithEzekiel has made a short dart kit for this that includes a Nylon 3D-Printed stronger plunger rod, which can also be used for higher spring loads with the stock internals! I really love for the blaster looks, I have to find one for a reasonable price...

Stock internals maybe, but I think there's someone out there on I think Etsy that makes diecast aluminum gear sets out of the same metal as Orange Mod Works triggers and catches. For other inspiration, look into the Eir blaster, a modified stampede with specifications for HVZ by Captain Xavier here on KZfaq.
