Davosa is a solid brand. I really like many of their models. I have the Neoteric Pilot. I have also been considering the 42mm GMT.

I had been wanting to add a GMT to my collection for awhile now, and just the other day I finally pulled the trigger on a Mido Ocean Star GMT. While I prefer the size of the Davosa and Squale GMTs, the benefits of a true GMT movement and an 80 hour power reserve were too much to pass up (I also loathe cyclops date windows, but that's somewhat beside the point). Even so, it's a good time to be in the market for a GMT. What once seemed out of reach, price wise, has become much more attainable. I'm very much looking forward to the eventual entry of a GMT Islander into the fray.

These look great, but I think the Steinhart pepsi GMT ceramic42 is less than 1/2 the price and I think is a much better buy. The dial is matte black though, not exactly the same.

Purchased and today was received. Initial impression, it feels solid and has a bit of weight to it. Will see how it does in the up coming days.

I have a Pagani design pepsi GMT on a Jubilee style bracelet. It's a good $100 watch. When compared to the Davosa it shows that you do indeed get what you pay for. 🙂

What is the time accuracy of this Davosa gmt ceramic on a timegrapher?

It looks great and the price is reasonable. The bracelet looks good as well. The only thing I don't like is the cyclops (it looks blurry)

how difficult is it to make a bi-directional bezel? man, Marc, if you made an affordable GMT with bi-directional, they'd sell faster than hot cakes!

Just curious what your new camera set up is? Although you are getting maybe a more pleasing video quality, it seems all your new videos are too bright and blown out. Still enjoy the content though.

Marc should do a coke color islander. I would buy it for sure. Do one in 42mm and one in 38mm then throw in a lumed bezel and beat the devosa...

I think for the money it's really nice. Wish it had female end links. I haven't spent over a grand on watch yet close but if I do I'd like a damasko.

I would think Rolex would have to make some adjustments to the movement so that the date would change at the correct position. Minor adjustment, but I’m no watch maker so I don’t really know.

Looks great, nice to have that "Swiss Made" on either side of the "6", but I think the "Cronos" is a far better deal, though be it not a true GMT movement but the Cronos has the lumed ceramic bezel insert as an option for a third the cost.

I love the Design, but charging more than double than Steinhart is making me question Davosa's pricing sense. No fault to you, Marc!

I own an Apple Watch, and I wear that watch on one wrist and my islander on the other. Why? Because I want the health tracker benefits and the simplicity of the wristwatch on my other wrist. I disable all notifications on my Apple Watch. This allows me to have access to my data and information on my own terms when I am wanting it. While relying on my Islander for time. Works great for me. And keeps me moving forward. I call it the techno-Swarchkof style.

I would buy the Davosa full red bezel submariner if it came in ceramic / sapphire

Thanks for the review. Shame it isn't a true GMT movement which means it's a pain to readjust when used for its intended purpose.

Those look really great, I'd like the Jubilee, but it would be more like saving $18,000.00 at this point. And I ain't kidding! :)

Wow, that's a lot for a brand that sounds like a cheap homage microbrand. Unfortunately there's so much more out there with great brand recognition and heritage for the money. I honestly thought these were an Ali express brand. Not trying to sound negative but once you get north of 800/1000 there's so much competition.

Oh hi Marc, would you consider making a sporty/field Islander with a power reserve indicator? In the price range of yours, the main player with that complication is Orient ( and maybe Citizen ). However it's either on dress watches or chunky divers. On the microbrand side, it's mostly funky watches with it. No classic stuff. I'd definitely buy a 38mm sporty with this, at this price range, and I think there's a bit of a void in that spot.

Davosa is a mixed feeling, it does not have price advantage over Steinhart and have no heritage of Squale. A struggle to buy this brand watches.

You are correct.The new Rolex GMT I already sussed.Another Rolex (" we have no ideas ") you pointed out.Only the date wheel to reverse.The rest stays and as for the price?????? Do people that buy Rolex actually realise how much they are being taken as a mug.?I owned an an oysterquartz and it was bloody terrible build wise.The bracelet was a joke.Mineral crystal and it ticked so loud you wouldnt wear one at the cinema! Crap.

Never hear of the brand. Seem a bit too homage for me. I think they should have gone with their own unique bezel design and dial, also without the bubble. Bracelets look good and case size is nice.

Quite a faithful homage to the Rolex GMT Master II. At a glance, looks like the real thing. Which means you will feel really bad getting stabbed for your Davosa by a lowlife who thinks he is getting himself a Rolex.

I am a lefty and would never want a lefty watch. Im not even sure i could put a watch on my right wrist easily

I love your channel and your watches. But the LHD Rolex is the laziest, most cynical, re-heat of last night's leftovers I have ever seen. Those guys do not deserve the success, or following, they have. There are brands trying their guts out, for a fraction, of a fraction of a splinter of their success. And they just turn it around. And sell it up. Sick inducing.
