Is Roseville strict on districts for elementary school enrollment? We are going to be in district 5 in Sierra west community

@alex55t60 Very strict as our schools in the area are impacted/overflowing with students due to the rapid growth of West Roseville. If you are in Sierra West you are not even in the Roseville School District. You are in Center Unified, so that's even harder to get a district transfer. Even people within the boundaries can't switch schools & have to go to what they are zoned to or assigned. Are you guys already locked into your home purchase or possibility of changing? We can guide you to the communities that are within the boundaries you desire.

@@livinginsacramentosuburbs that’s unfortunate to hear as we are literally on the verge of doing a down payment in a few weeks. Our oldest kid is 2 years old and there’s supposed to be a new elementary school built in the area. What do you advise? Technically we are good for another 3 years in the district’s current state until kindergarten.

@@alex55t60 I highly recommend you reach out to us right away to make sure you have considered all your options before taking that step. I have great new construction options within the Roseville school district that I'd love to share with you after better understanding your family's needs. You do not want to have to try to sell & move in a few years & flush your equity down the drain to selling costs. We are unfortunately seeing many people have to do that, that purchased in Sierra Vista or Sierra West without understanding the school situation fully before completing their purchase. The builders sales reps are not the ones to rely on for this type of info, they are there to sell their homes. We are here for you, so don't hesitate to reach out! @@livinginsacramentosuburbs thanks for your reply and insight. I would not be selling within a few years for the same reasons you just mentioned. I’d be curious to know what communities you know outside of this district because far I checked Woodside, Tim Lewis, Tri point, JMC - all are in Central Unified District. Also, looks like our child would be going to Rex Fortune which a brand new elementary school. With the influx of families moving in, I would assume (obviously this is just speculation) that it would put pressure on the school to do well - it’s still also in Roseville, not Antelope. Thoughts? Thanks!
