Jessica Macarone, a bankruptcy lawyer who works in Newark, New Jersey, when to check on her ticket when she discovered she was a millionaire. Her jaw dropped and a local TV crew happened to be there to catch her reaction as she repeated: "are you kidding!?" She told FiOS1 News the money came in handy because the last year has been rough on her. #InsideEdition

Dont assume just because she's a lawyer she is wealthy. You dont know her financial situation. I have a cousin who is a lawyer but still struggles financially paying off student loans, law school, and helping her family out.

Theres another video on KZfaq of an Australian man who had only recently been discharged from hospital but won a car on a scratch card the local TV station sent a crew to interview him at the location where he bought the ticket they then asked him to buy a scratch card and reenact the moment and you guessed it he only goes and wins the jackpot live on camera. He calls his wife and cries it is such a heart warming video because it obvious how much that money meant to him.

Don't hand a ticket over to anyone to check for you, it's not uncommon for a store clerk to check and tell you its a $20 winner hand you the money then snatch the ticket themselves. There is a scanner where you can check yourself.
