They should add herobrine just for a quick Halloween update

I believe the reason so many people believe in Herobrine is because in early times, there was a hostile mob using Steve's model, called human, so it will feel very creepy to see mobs looking the same as the player to move in a weird way to attack us. Herobrine myth likely used this fear to make everyone believe his existence.

I remember watching SB's Herobrine Dimension video all those years ago, and the herobrine videos in his Awesome world series. Herobrine was probably a staple of my childhood, even tho i hated him as a child lmao

I have no evidence for this, but I remember back in the day as a child, before Minecraft, there was a creepy pasta about a figure in habbo hotel called "det" in Norwegian, or "it" in English. I can't find any info on "det" now, but I remember it was a thing back in the halloween specials. I didn't play habbo hotel too much, but I do remember playing around halloween one time and people were talking about it. Maybe there's a corrolation there.

My brothers and cousins told me the Legend of herobrine. This is how their version went: there was a boy, (notch 's brother supposedly) and his sister. They loved minecraft so much the boy started to learn how to code into the game. He would add small things like graphics and cheat codes such as double jump and flying. Eventually a year or two passed and he was a teen he got bullied for playing Minecraft, his bullies saying "you're to old." He had gotten so good at hacking he hacked into their accounts and hacked into their worlds they thought nobody knew about... That is the origin story of Herobrine.
