The Possiblity of seeing Snow on one of Western Australia's highest mountain, Bluff Knoll, seemed like a opportunity too good to miss! Sadly the snow didn't happen, but it still made for a great road trip and adventure.

Good on you for getting out and active on a crappy looking weather day. Even better, that you didn't push it when it turned to grubs near the top of the knoll. Your camera work, drone shots and editing is top rate BTW. Cheers.

your attitude is great. and actually refreshing to see. I am thinking that you and I are similar, as we seem to be hiking alone quite a bit. No crazy friends to go with us?? I guess you will need a trip to the USA and the Rocky Mountains to see snow in July. 4000m+ mountains, and you can even take a 4x4 trail to 3100m and then hike from there to top of Mount Elbert at 4399m

I love to go winter camping here in Colorado (I assume mentioning Mt Elbert you are here too). I agree it is hard to find anyone crazy enough to join lol.

Snow is one thing I appreciate with living in Canberra. It is never too long to drive to see it. It is best when it snows on the local Brindabella Mountains. They arn't too much taller than the Bluff, but tall enough to get the white stuff.

I am an old guy by some standards (early fithfy's) but The Man From Snowy River is one of my favorite movies, some great horse riding and the scenery is wonderful. I live in the USA in the state of confusion and the state of Arizona where I think we have far less surface water than you but it snows here or it did 40 years ago before the world changed, or is that climate change or global warming, or something like that. Even though we are told none of that is real, it used to snow a lot in Arizona, the land of cactus, rattlesnakes, scorpions, desert tarantula, wild burros, Western movies, and a lot of people with guns, but Arizona is a land of 15 climates zones and the high point in the state rises above twelve thousand feet in elevation just outside of Flagstaff where I grew up and learned to snow ski. The Arizona SnowBowl now makes snow, when I was ten years old that would of been crazy talk, now it's the only way to stay open, but it's okay because it's God's will or a hundred the year doubt, but it used to snow in Arizona and snow a lot. Keep chasing it, there is really nothing in the world like fresh snow, to see the shape of a snowflake in the palm of your hand riding a chairlift at 10,000 feet at 13 degrees F freezing your twelve year old butt off while your father sits next to you smoking a Kool cigarette in Telluride Co, the taste of newly fallen snow is like the taste of nothing but to bring a handful of it to your mouth and just put the tip of your tongue at its edges , the crunch sound it makes under your foot, how quiet the forest becomes when it snows, how heavy it is when shoveling after the plow has gone by, why dogs are so happy to run in fresh snow, and how new the world is before the snow turns. In the case of your channel why I didn't I buy a 4x4 then I would not of slid down the hill that leads to my home taking out three mailboxes with my passenger mirror and now I know why the guy at the bottom of the hill has boulders in his front yard the size of VW bugs, to keep cars and trucks from sliding into his living room when it snows. There is nothing else like fresh snow weather it's dry or wet it will always excite you and make you want more. Goodluck man I hope you catch some somewhere.

Well done, mate! You should do a video on how you make your videos. I'd love to see it!

If you want to see snow and Glaciers then head over The Ditch to New Zealand - the South Island has it all. You can fit the highlights into a 2 week campervan tour starting and ending in Christchurch. Only problem is, you might not want to go home, I didn't, so I emigrated here from the UK. Just converting a van so I can go and explore more.

Dear Seek, thankyou for Michaeling some somewhat different Adventure. Sorry you missed out on the hot chips, but that cheesecake did look well-suited to the hot chocolate. The views were indeed spectacular; nice sparkly shiny clean (Probably the driving rain eh?.). I always reckon that rain and wind bring out the most beautifully shiny~clean videography. Provided that it stays outside the camera. Often it's those moment~of~the~spur seekings that turn such as this adventure into not just quite~an~adventure, but actually a nicely~different 'Vignet' experience. One that you could sort of put~on~the~wall, lovingly framed and in it's happy little way; complete. Which imho it is. Oh and you will have to go to The Alice (Alice Springs NT). They have an annual Beanie event tthere. Um you might like to put in a little more planning for that sojourn. :)

@@Malc664 Hi, That was a nice timely reminder; I've not been to visit Carlisle's utube site for quite awhile. Will check that out soon. Hope you were not infurring (well I'm cold!) that he is a strange, twisted person with a tragic failed attempt at humour (like me) :) ). Though I do like the thought that at least one kind person (you Good Sir) correlate my ramblings to something resembling prose approaching poetical.
