Our first evening in Amritsar, we spent a few hours at the Golden Temple, where we were fortunate enough to watch the night ceremony after seeking darshan, and also nourish our body with a comforting meal at the langar. We returned the next morning to bask more in the spiritual glow of Sri Harmandir Sahib that is not only a central religious place of the Sikhs, but also a symbol of human brotherhood and equality. Notwithstanding the teeming masses that converge here all times of the day, there is a certain peace that envelopes the mind when one spends time here. In this vlog, we have made a humble attempt to share certain aspects of our spiritual experience at this unique temple that embraces people of all caste, creed and faith. 🙏🙏

As a child, I used to enjoy the Langar in our neighborhood and wholeheartedly volunteer in the seva. It gives immense pleasure to watch this video and recollect those moments 🙏

A Divine indeed....This is the only place in North India giving prasad.... Down in the South almost all Temples provide full meals during afternoon night and even morning also....

@@toddmoore112 Absolutely true. It's very prevalent here in the South. Dharmasthala, Horanadu, Kateelu... are some of the places where you can enjoy a hearty meal after the darshana. Countless other temples so the same here.

I have eaten at Udupi Krishna temple, when I came to Karnataka Mangalore, very tasty and soul satisfying 😌 😋 👌, I have eaten at Golden temple also, both experiences are similar 😋 😀 😊 yummy food at both the places, also people with hearts full of love.

There's definitely something special about this gesture in Sikhism of giving free food irrespective of who you are. All religions preach about generosity but Sikhs actually and actively practice it. Kudos!

Yes the special thing is - they will do photo sessions [10 pics for 1 roti] and show off that they are the most generous. Next they will send their farmers and break India. The end result is Khalistan.

Btw if ur hindu ...have u read Mr Gobind Singhs views on Hindu gods he belittled them. Nanak made fun of hindu traditions.And finally they were all Hindus .... only Gobinnd. singh made them a separate religion.

In Karnataka Siddaganga Matt 140 kms from Bengaluru. Langar is called Dasoha there . 15,000 people fed each day for last hundreds of years irrespective of any consideration Plus free education shelter for 10,000 kids

I got goosebumps by just watching the video. I can imagine how you must have felt by physically being there. Once again excellent coverage of Darbar Sahib by Mr Kripal. You were indeed lucky to be inside the Akal takht sahib to witness the closing ceremony when Guru Granth Sahib is brought back to Sachkhand for rest during the night. Kudos for the video!
