The Seetha Amman Temple is a Hindu temple located in Seetha Eliya village approximately 1 kilometre from Hakgala Botanical Garden and 5 kilometres from Nuwara Eliya
The Seeta Amman Temple has idols of Lord Rama, Lakshmana and Goddess Sita along with the idol of Lord Hanuman.
Legend states that the location of the temple is where the monkey god Hanuman attempted to rescue Sita from the clutches of Ravana.
Surrounded by several Ashoka trees, the legendary tale of the temple is not the only feature that attracts travellers and devotees.
