Can we get some acknowledgment that this story is only loosely based on actual Sumerian Mythology? This “alien” stuff with spaceships wasn’t actually part of the myths and comes from a series of books from the 1960s.

The Annunaki coming from a planet called "Nibiru" isn't in Sumerian mythology. That's apart of Zacharia Sitchen's fictional book "Lost Book of Enki" that doesn't have any corroborating tablets for that part of the story. Nibru was the ancient name for Nippur, aka Enlil's City, where his palace, the Ekur still sits in ruins. The Igigi surrounded the Ekur in mutiny but there wasn't a war either. The lead mutineer, Ilawela/Geshtu-E, was sacrificed in order to create humanity as told in the Atrahasis Tablets.

The Annunaki story was written literally thousands of years before the bible was written. Around 5.000 years in fact (for the old testament; for the new testament its closer to 7.000 years). Many of the stories in the bible are actually stolen and rewritten from much older books, including the Epic of Gilgamesh which is one of the oldest books in recorded human history.

Ive never seen the Annunaki depicted as black. They were supposed to have many different skincolours, but none of them were colours that humans have. They were also always portrayed with elongated skulls and being twice the height of any human. And these arent conspiracy theories, its the sumerian tale of the origin of humanity and its what they believed to be real history the same way that religious people in the west think that the book of Genesis is how humanity came into being. The story presented in this video embellishes and adds elements that arent written on the original stone tablets, like the Adam and Eve story, Kain and Abel and other things from the bible and greek mythology that wasnt written until several thousands of years later and by completely different cultures.

The source is BS. I read Sumerian mythology from Samuel Noah Kramer's books and Muazzez Ilmiye Cig’s books. They did direct translations from Sumerian tablets. I've never encountered your version of the mythology.

If we could go back in time 200 years.....our technology would seem magical. You would describe these "magical" acts the best you can using words from your own time. After some time of stories being passe down they would become myth and legend. When people say "Alien" they think mostly of grey aloens but they could look just like us or similar. Its so easy for people to believe an all powerful god just popped a man into existence and then took his rib to make a female. Well that story has changed over time also, ever heard of Lilith, the first woman who did not want to be subservient to Adam. The biblical relations could have been added in by the author, if indeed they came from the (somewhat) recent sci-fi adaption. If they were in the original myths, though, then they were Sumerian interpretations of the real events that can be found in the Bible.
