Full playthrough / longplay / trueplay as the PlayStation 2 extra boss Unofficial (アンオフィシャル), whom is only found in the PlayStation 2 port of Virtual-On. Unofficial is the original Fei-Yen battle unit and is one of the most powerful virtuaroid in the game. This Fei-Yen acts as if she is in her super charged state all the time, even without taking damage. While she loses the bow gun and sword she replaces it with a new heart attack for her left arm and the right hand cannon is also in a powered up state from the start. She makes light work of all the other virtuaroids with easy even Jaguarandi. To show this we deliberately summed him for this video, by running down the clock against Bal-Bas-Bow in two matches.
To fight Unofficial in-game you need to finish the other eight virtuaroids on normal or above in under 4 minutes, she replaces Z-GRADT if done correctly. Also make sure that the final boss option is set to arranged in the extra settings menu, else she will not appear. To play as her, you need to beat her, then highlight Fei-Yen on the virtuaroid selection hold the “Dash” button and press “Start” to chose her. If done correctly her heart charm sound effect will sound. While the launch scene will show the normal Fei-Yen, as soon as you play as her the bow gun will disappear and she can now be viewed in the 3D model gallery.
The PlayStation 2 version of Virtual On is a rebuilt port of the original Sega AM3 arcade model 2 source code. It's rare to see this title of port these days and due to the hard work of M2 and many of the original staff. This version includes numerous extra features, both arcade & Sega Saturn soundtracks, bonus modes, 60fps support, hidden characters and content not found in any other version of the game. If you are a Virtual On fan this is the must have version of the game.

Sega Ages 2500 Series Vol. 31: Cyber Troopers Virtual-On isn't currently available on any other system. There is a PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 port of Cyber Troopers Virtual-On, but it is a bare bones arcade port with online play and is missing all the PS2 extra content.

Thanks for the resourse. Did ps2 ever has the acade twin sticks for this game? Does rebuilding the source code meaning they rebuild an Model2 on ps2? I wish I could play HOD original arcade port like this on consoles. Especially ps2 as I have the Guncon2.

Hi there.. does this support dual analog control? I own both the saturn version AND dreamcast version but in both cases never had the twin stick controller.. they were just too expensive to import..but they are not that great using just single stick. I am hoping the PS2 one actually adopted the use of both analog sticks on the dual shock 2, would make it worth importing the game. The other way is to buy the PS3 version but I think it may have been delisted from the PSN store. I can't win! (and there appears to be NO rom for it to try in RPCS3.. I don't feel guilty to try that if I found one, since I already own 2 physical copies of the game).

Of course it does this was a rebuild port of the game by M2, the default controls use the twin stick format. Our team however, prefer the control system used on Saturn. The game is now available on PS4 as part of the Masterpiece Collection which at present is only in Japan.

Sorry to ask and I'm sure it's far to late to ask, but how do you get alt colors for Mechs in this game? I want to stream a version of virtual on's first entry and this seems to be the best possible choice. Unfortunately it does have a black and white color flaw on pcsx2. Anyways, if I could know I would genuinely appreciate it.

This is a late reply, but you can change colors by imputing up or down on the d-pad (they were set to move forward/back for me). Also, I was able to fix the black/white color issue by either using the software renderer or by enabling "Manual Hardware Renderer Fixes" In the Rendering tab under Graphics, and then setting "Software CLUT Render" to "2 (Aggressive)" under the Hardware Fixes tab in pcsx2.

No idea, it may work with it may not, all we can say is the controller isn't shown in the manual and it was a very late PS2 game.

The heart beam is in hyper mode activated you can only use that if your life bar is at 50% did you use some cheat or a mod

great vid! question though, i just got a pc. how did you get it to work on the pc? I tried to use PSX emulator and i got the rom for this game but, during gameplay, its becomes black and white and slows a bit. Is there a specific way to get it working or use another emulator?

Please read the video description Jaguarandi is a penalty boss that only appears if you perform badly, So we had to edit out a number of matches used to summon him and any failed fights. This video is not stated to be a 1CC as a result and is edited for best viewer enjoyment as per the description. You cannot fight Unofficial and Jaguarandi in the same run, due to the time limits required to fight both if you summon Jaguarandi you have already taken too long to fight Unofficial.

@@onekarodriguez3134 The requirement for unlocking the fight with her is to reach the final stage in under 4 minutes. There's 8 normal fight and Jaguarandi as a penalty boss.Taking more than 3 minutes on the first 5 fights triggers the fight with Jaguarandi, which cannot be beaten quickly because its defenses on the first try are too tough for any character in the game. And there's still 3 more fights after that. That means it's practically impossible to fight Original Fei-Yen if you run into Jaguarandi and you have to make sure you only fight the 8 main opponents and do it in under 4 minutes.

what is so special about this video? it's just Fei-Yen? I used to play the PC version of virtual on, the entire video is no different from that. the Jaguarandi is a mid size Jaguarandi in PC you had to lost once to the big Jaguarandi and do continue once to see the mid size Jaguarandi , if you fail again and continue another time the Jaguarandi will looks tiny. Anyway, I still don't see anything special about this video. what is 'unofficial'?

Unofficial is the original Fei-Yen, that was lost as part of the story this character has a number of different moves and is vastly stronger than the standard Fei-Yen. If you read the description you will see this version of Fei-Yen is only playable in the PlayStation 2 port and is also a new secret boss. This version doesn't have the sword, but has different moves instead.

It's the BETA Fei-Yen compared to the revised Fei-Yen. She has different winposes and fight stances without her sword.
