If not, you should check out a few of them. Here are some, Freedom Planet Freedom Planet 2 Spark The Electric Jester Spark The Electric Jester 2 Spark The Electric Jester 3 Also, check out "Pariah695" KZfaq Channel. He has a video of the "Sonic-like games to check out". Spark The Electric Jester 2 and 3 are in full 3D. They look cool. The gameplay is much like 3D Sonic but I think the Sparks controls and movement is more smooth and precise and the controls look tight and responsive than current 3D Sonic games like Frontiers. Where Sonic's controls, speed, and movement is just slippery and weaving back and forth. The physics in Spark 2 and 3 is pretty much what current 3D Sonic games need. Please do a livestream playthrough with Max and the guys on these games.

The placeholder music for the Sonic Mania boss put me on to the Japanese Sonic CD soundtrack. Also, constantly getting lost in the Sonic CD levels in Mania has me hesitant to actually play it despite having it in various Sonic collections.
