F1 Challenge has an outstanding soundtrack. Typically devs during this period wanted to max-out CD audio capabilities, sometimes to great effect.

I would agree. I really love the soundtrack in that game and sega rally. Sega arcade racing games always had some outstanding audio tracks

It was so cool to see that Daytona CCE is called Daytona CE in Japan and improves a lot, including full system link play! Otherwise, the regular Daytona USA and Sega Rally are the best I would say. F1 Challenge is a missed chance I would say. It just needs more content. No championship, just a few playable tracks and cars... Could have been so much better. Never really liked Power Drift. An arcade nearby still has it, but it is just chaos.

huge saturn fan here. i remember you from the amico days but been watching you saturn videos. anyhow have you done any research on the terraonion mode? i own a couple of them 1 for my saturn and 1 in my dreamcast. it enables you to play any Saturn game via micro sd card on original hardware. no sodering or anything required. its nice due to the fact saturn software is so overpriced nowadays.. its the best optical disc emulator for saturn and dreamcast on the market. well worth it to experience the entire saturn library plus fan translations and etc on the original hardware. OH and may i suggest you give Shienryu a go? beautiful shooter.

You got my 2 favorite racers in your first video! Sega Rally probably my most played saturn game outside of Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold, and OutRun. Outrun actually does have an NTSC-U release, you can find it in the Sega Ages 3 pack published by Working Designs. Unfortunately the NA version is missing one of the music options, likely due to disc space having all 3 games on the 1 disc.

The best part of Sega Rally is the entire OST is in redbook. My copy lives in my PC CD-ROM drive because that music slaps!
