thanks for the good words! Glad you like it. Mine has 440 miles on it and it was starting to fall apart in the gooseneck, i fixed it since and will have a video up on that shortly. Stay tuned for that. Just FYI tho, the issues is essentially that there are three screws near that foot pedal thing (under the plastic) that seem almost not long enough.... they may have changed that since the earlier scooters. Anyway, i changed out the screws and its back to new. Again, i will have a video about that soon. Hopefully within the next two weeks.

Well, if I run the headlight now it doesn't work right. The throttle and brake don't work right, so I just keep the be light off. Other than that it works fine still.

The mechanical linkage where the scooter hinges tho, that has needed some maintenance. Keep an eye on that stuff

Willem Jansen if the scooter is turned off I am able to push and ride it like a normal kick scooter. There may be a very very slight resistance... I can't really feel it though.

@@myaccount__7269 It goes up them where it wouldn't without the extra battery. However, last night with the headlight on, it broke the control board - a common problem. Thankfully I'm getting a replacement from Amazon but this is a fundamental issue with all of the ES2 + Extra Battery or ES4 so it will break again. I will be more careful with the replacement not to put it under strain.

ES2 is faster out of the box compared to the ES1. ES2 has more lights. I have no regrets of my ES1 but it is showing wear and needed maintenance. Screws started coming off inside the neck area and it does not operate properly with the headlight on anymore. Fix video for the neck is being put together now. I suggest to keep researching until you come to an answer you are comfortable with.

I don't remember having to do anything special. I just had two batterys showing after the fact. Does your app show two batteries? 25km may be accurate if you are on the throttle heavy and it's aged.... Maybe? Not sure man. Not sure.

Jeez, same for me now tho. There are people fixing this by replacing a part. I hope to repair soon. I end up using a headlamp at night.

All I know is the headlight has to be on for that to happen

Dang. Good luck with the search.i think Segway is simply a brand name and these scooters are made in a factory in China. Get a friend who speaks, reads and writes Chinese and they may be able to google their way to the factory's info. That's all I can imagine to do for parts finding :/

yup... well.. with 330+ miles on it it is still very usable. It has gone thru the tread so far, and i still think i am going to re-tread (cut grooves into tire) sometime. I dont regret the purchase but if you plan on doing a whole lot more than 330 miles, i would maybe consider one that has a replaceable tire. Maybe an Ebike at that point? But they are so big... hard to choose man.... hard to choose. Good luck with it!

they work together however only when they are at the same voltage. One DOES NOT charge the other. if one is charged more, like in the video when i first installed it, it will drain the more charged battery then use them both.

Well. Balance between the scooter battery and the external battery is one of the ways it needs to balance. You can tell when it is balanced when you go in the app and see that the voltage is nearly the same between the two batteries. Or the percentage of charge is the same. There is another way it balances and that is within each battery but that is too dificult to type out in a comment and not able to be measured with the app. As for the screws, i can only think that you guys cross threaded them to begin with? The tolerances on my battery hardware were very fine but able to be put together. Fairly easy to strip, i could imagine tho. I have been working on mechanical stuff for over 2 decades now (started with VCRs and Bikes). As for the battery indicator light, it may very well work and possibly YES to your question. charge the entire thing up to full and leave it plugged in for about an hour or two after it has been fully charged. That is my suggestion. Also, call segway and see what help they have to offer. good luck! (P.S. I am putting together a 450 mile update video)

Still works. Loaned it out to a friend around the (300-350 mile mark?) and it blew something where having the headlight on makes it unable to propel itself. So no riding with the light on. Got over 700 miles on it if I remember right... I use it occasionally.

It's fake then, the led light up when you put the front light on

Two years later, I still use it. It weakens around the connections at the deck/need to keep up on screw maintenance. The new one with the built in charger (segway max?) Is probably a better choice.

@@TRYtoHELPyou the new one is really expensive. I live maybe 1.5 miles from a public transit and that's the farthest I would take it. Maybe 2 miles to the gym. How was it riding over gravel or rough spots? Generally I'm looking for something that can help save Uber money.

in the app?? Mine shows a little over 5200 mah when its fully charged. I think yours should be showing about 5200mah for each battery after its all balanced out amd fully charged.
