LAPSE RECORD looks like it records timelapses, 5 frames per second, 1 frame per second etc. Good feature for vloggers or if you make videos from your car, you can do nice timelapse videos while driving, pretty cool feature :)) Ok he later explained it is also for security :D

Thank you for your video - FWIW - For those considering purchasing this unit - I've purchased one of these Seicane Dashcam/Apple Carplay units, and have installed it in my car. I would say, I have very mixed feelings. After the initial few days of playing with the unit, powering it from the cigarette lighter power, I opted to hardwire it using the provided 3A power adapter. Pretty straight forward install, and I KNOW I've installed it correctly. So here is my feedback: 1. The units feels solid to touch and the display has a good appearance and feel. I like the IDEA of this product, but it has several flaws! 1. even if you mount it sold, it still shakes while you're driving. I fixed this shaking by building a simple block on my 3D printer and stuffing it between the display and the mount from the back (so you don't see it from the front). 2. Audio pass through quality sucks! I've connected my iPhone wirelessly to the Seicane unit, and from there, there is a cable going from Seicane to my car stereo through the Aux input. Comparing the pass through quality to simple direct bluetooth connectivity to my car stereo, I would say Seicane quality is awful. I am willing to tolerate 1 and 2, but then there is 3. Every time I turn off my car, and turn it back on again, I have to do a hard power down on the Seicane unit (holding the power button at the top of the unit for a few seconds), then power up the unit!!! To me, this is the deal breaker! This brings me to 4. AWFUL tech support!!! I've reached out to Seicane, and they have responded quickly (within 24 hours), BUT the quality of support is really really really BAD! After a few emails going back and forth, they came back with requiring me to do a firmware upgrade. I have no problem with this, BUT the documentation they have provided and the video makes you laugh and cry at the same time! First of all, everything is in Chinese (at least all the important stuff). They have also provided an .mp4 video to download, which is supposed to help! The video is absolute utter rubbish! I am really disappointed with Seicane!

I bought a similar £80 gizmo, and once i stopped Android Auto looking for a new car every time, ita still really slow starting up and connecting to the device, about 3-4mins each time. Is this common?

Why does the full screen looks stretched? I think there is another setting that needs to be done on the phone side or so. Too bad it doesn't have BT out but for the price I guess. How is the audio quality? Is it stereo? I heard about this product a couple of months ago but held off on it even though it's only $100.

It's all good till you put android auto in full screen then it's all stretched and horrible looking, this doesn't happen with carplay tho, don't know about any updates or how you would do them with no developer mode.

If you don’t install the red wire for the backup camera, can you still use the camera manually from the touchscreen whilst in reverse?

To bad you did not show a phone call. I have terrible issues with this device. When making a phone call via BT the other party cant hear me. I have to switch the source on this device to PHONE or SPEAKER (via the phone) so they can hear me. But the problem than is that the conversation no longer comes over the car audio...

Thanks for the video sir. I have noticed that on settings i found total 18 icons on the time 5:37 but when i see your same settings i found only 17 icons on time 12:32. Could you please let me know your input. I mean from on time 12.32, "setting Guidline, Back camera mirror, Back camera flip" are missing when seen on your video time of 5.37 instead found 2 additional icons as "Reset Factory and Version" icons. It's not the best test of dashcam if it is not glued solidly to the surface, there are small bumps that impact the video quality a lot even if it was tucked in place like that

I bought one of these after watching this video, I decided not to install it as the audio quality is awful. People please don't waste your money.

Don't buy this product. I received a damaged unit. When asking for help from customer service, the customer service department solution for selling me a deffective product is to refund me $40 dollars out of the $127 purchase price and keep the broken system. Again don't buy this.
