I start in G1 with about 20 mins before tally and end up G2/G3, EU. I always screenshot my score (rank, points, ao hits, def hits) at XX:40, XX:50 and tally. This gives me a good idea about what's going on. Last week for instance I got hit 13 times in the last 10 minutes in G3. That automatically tells me its a bad def

i always had around 10-20% win rate with my AD (i kept f1-f3 all week then). Thanks to this video i made AD which has solid 80% winrate :O (and i keep account in c2-c3!) so better attackers than before are getting owned, and my runes are the same as before :D whats amazing i didnt make any AD u suggested but this tutorial really opened my mind. Well done Sir!

The fact that there is no real clear answer on what makes a def good makes this topic much more interesting. To me, core factors are: not lushenable, stalling and discouraging. Execially if you don't have those messy units that make the def unpredictable in anycase like tian lang. But mostly you need to be consistent in attack, because in the paper rock scissor concept a def can counter one offense but it can't counter all of them.

Reruning before rush should be first then understanding unpredictability is underrated... I don't have rune quality cuz I'm basically f2p, but I been playing this game since jewbagel started streaming this game. It's. I got 2 ld 5s. Akroma an MI Ying.

Something that's it's implicit in the Unpredictability section but should be noted, it's when building a defense that doesn't have that many room for many counters, it's to build it around the most common offense so it become a trap defense. When you know most people will use certain units building around that becomes relatively easier too.

well every team is counterable , it just depends which offs you make. so technically there's no struggle haha. unless you have some of the perfect ld5 setups for current meta

I got Vanessa and double cam but missing just about every other meta ad unit rn.. double cam feels dead, and without a triton/zen/juno strip theres no reason for me to try to contest speed.

Trying to figure out a better defense i have pontos zerath camilla and orion but debating on the camilla and orion spots my pontos on fastest swift to cut or outspeed then orion on fastest vio to either disrupt or aoe armor break. Then zerath and camilla to clean up. Ive tried replacing orion with sekmet but i feel i need some sort of aoe def break and ive thought about replacing camilla with a strip like nora but it doesnt seem to fit with the theme of the rest of my team. I definitely feel im food for attk lead tiana and thats currently why im running orion. I also have frigate but that team falls to chloe teams as i lose to invincibility

I´m running with Vanessa/Psamath, Nora, Tian Lang and Amduat on defense, it seems stupid, because of the Tian Lang and Amduat dynamic, but it seems also annoying, especially during the rush

Let's see if this video will help me. With my new pungbek team I would have hit guardian if it weren't for the shit load of attacks that came in. I only need a def so I don't get 5 attacks in in the last minute of rush and I'm good to go

Hi Seiishizzle, this is definitely helpful and will help me snag those ld pieces. However I disagree with what you said about the "defence gets hit" stuff. Wouldn't it be better to have a 50% win rate defence over a defence that doesn't get hit as you get points when it wins? Therefore you will not go down in rank with 50% winrate? Or have I got that wrong?

In theory yes, having a def that's 50%+ wr you'll gain points. In practice, rarely even the legend player gets defense rates that high. A typical good performing defense ends up with like 35% wr, so you're still on average losing points vs a def that doesn't get hit which stays neutral

Aint no way you have defense thats higher than 50% in high rank. Thats why its always better to have your defense to get less hit

I really wonder whats your opinnion about a good ad with alex. I got her and tried a tons of combs with her for ad but when it comes to push into g3 i always get a million hits in the last few mins even if i pair her with units like halphas abellio and stuff :/ the ai of alex is just terrible. If she moves 95% she transforms and hits s1 afterwards. 😢

yea her AI is bad :( it's just that people might skip you. make sure ur not bombable. cus that's mainly a counter to her. halphas abelio are also both bombable

I use Akroma Nyx Nora Kinki on Defense. I got some Anticrit, Nyx's Passive and Nora Strip. Kinki just there because I dont know what else to put there, was thinking about Abellio but I dont know

Guess I’m a little confused on how I should put lucifer into my AD. I’m just running my offense build as AD(accounts only 12 days old at the moment), and I’m 8/15 in F3 on defense alone. Should I be using my halphas and bjungchul? Any other suggestions for a lucifer defense? Thank you

well if you leo then you could speed trap it at 180 spd or something, but i think early game its better to just add tanky/dmg units next to it. Could even just use ur off as def with lushen, i think lower ranks people don't have things against it yet. So Byunchul leo lucifer + Karnal or something tanky with hp lead? maybe even veromos for hp lead. or something with an armorbreak like a nana

In c3/guardian I use Akroma, Nora, Lydia, and Camilla. My highest rank is g2 and only gets hit a handful of times during the last 10 minutes of rush. You could probably sub out Akroma for a lot of stuff.

Your ideas are great, but I feel like you leave pungbaek unconsidered. He cleans up almost any team as long as he has one target with armor break to hit(excluding mons like kinki or Camilla) but otherwise, he just needs one target. A majority of the comps you suggested are run over by a pung.

where is the goat disruptor. ginger brave man. jokes aside i would be scared to hit a gingerbrave defense that cant be cleared with 3 other units after one gets cooldown reduced and shield runes is still a 50/50
