I see people talking about how much they like the warm tone of the FRH10N! I'm not much of a warm tone type of person and like to have a nice punchy clear and glassy tone. both of them are AMAZING for their respective tones. I've always preferred strats over les pauls. So for me, I much prefer the TOD10N

Actually, the TOD10N had more warmth (bass and mids) in the hammer-on notes. Listen to Seiji play this on acoustic, and it sounds much closer to the TOD. People listen with their eyes sometimes. Brown wood color = warm apparently.

FRH = calm, smooth, fluffy TOD = attack, quickness, urgency Both personalities are beautiful! I could listen to you play any kind of music in either of these instruments for hours!

I'd say the TOD10N actually had more warmth and definition, similar to how the song sounds when he plays it on a dreadnought acoustic. Especially when he plays those hammer-ons. The frh10n sounds a little more like a nylon guitar, though.

The FRH is more muted. Has a laid back tone while the TOD is brighter and has the ‘koto’ sound quality. Both are exceptionally played.

FRH has a fuller/warmer tone, and has a more natural resonance. TOD has a brighter tone probably because of the reverb from the preamp(?). I like the FRH's sound more, but would probably buy a TOD myself for obvious reasons. =]

As an owner of both guitars, I think I might actually like the FRH10N a little bit better tonewise, at least within the context of this song. The TOD10N is sharp and crystal clear but it kinda sounds like a banjo, whereas the FRH sounds cozier Edit: the TOD10N sounds better in the first half of this tune, whereas the FRH10N makes the second half really pop

I like both of them...the first one is more of a little bit of a mellow vibe even though it's the same rhythm... The second one is a little bit more uplifting vibe.

I prefer the brighter, cleaner sound of the T0D10N, but I like the woodier sound of the FRH10N, too. I think my preference would just depend on what you're playing.

The TOD10n definitely has a glassier, punchier tone and sounds less 'dull'. While I like the FRH10n, it does lack a bit of body in the upper mids and overall sizzle. Both sound good though!

The FRH sounds like a traditional classical nylon string, as where the TOD leans toward more of a steel string tone. Both beautiful. Great playing, great tone. Just curious, which tuning is the guitar in?

So I've listened to this about 30 times now. The first time I thought I liked the FRH better. After about the 4th time through, I really started to like the TOD better. As most have pointed out, the FRH has a really nice, warm tone. The TOD has this great brightness and dynamic tone that really shines through.

Man that TOD10N sounds amazing but I would say that it honestly resonates too much making the space between the notes too cluttered. So, for this song, I'd go with the FRH10N.
