Congrats for the new piece! Yes, really a great one I guess! It has a black rubber in the box, but yess, a red one would suit it well too. I guess it is possible to ask a strapmaker to make a costum burgundy leather one for it, from aligator leather or stingray maybe. That must be cool for sure. Or a shark leather, if possible to get, and viola, you got a Godzilla styled Samurai :) I guess I will try to manage this! Thanks for the idea :)

@@RetekG I got a custom snakeskin pattern burgundy strap from Richard at Toshi straps (England). I added yellow stitching to pull out the gold on the dial. The strap looks amazing on the watch and greatly improves it looks!

Everything is expensive nowadays I guess... so every price tag is relative if you ask me. Why a patek nautilus could costs a fortune? that is just a simple 3 handed watch...

Hi, the higher priced Seiko’s like the Grand Seko may hold their price, but even though this is classed as limited, it’s quite a high number. A lot of people are actually saying they feel this watch is a little overpriced. Buy it by all means, but buy it to enjoy it, rather than hope for a return on your purchase in the future.

We will see. At least it will may keep value.

@@RetekG it was a good video, but hard to concentrate on the watch because the thumbs were so small. The small thumbs took attention away from the watch. May I suggest in future videos, to be fair to the watch creators and the effort they put in, wearing gloves. 😀

Rolex creates amazing watches not a question and in some ways a Rolex submariner for example has better values than this Samurai, but if we put the pricepoint and the value together, I guess this Seiko for example is a great piece for the money. Rolex is great too, if anyone could have a Sub or a Daytona or neraly anything from a Rolex AD on retail price. Different level. But to tell the truth Rolex watches not worth the two times or three times more secondhand prices. But also patek or AP not worth that much money in they are selling on the grey market. This is a complex business I guess. Seiko and Grand Seiko is different. But some Grand Seiko or Seiko pieces are holding great value and keeping the money very good nowadays too. So as an investment maybe Seiko - or mainly Grand Seiko can reach the rolex level too, at least it is getting closer and closer. But they are realy different and not because Grand Seiko cannot creat a watch like Rolex do, but Seiko - Grand Seiko wanna be different too. And of course even Seiko and Grand Seiko got luxury modells a lot. They are developing in some ways, most of the new modells are not that kind of tool watches like they were before. It is okay. You know what I love about Grand Seiko and Seiko is they are offering so much options and most of them are really really great value for the money. And I love the crazy accuracy of the new Spring Drive movements. That is amazing for me too. :)

@@RetekG understood, but remember Rolex use sieko technology as well I think they use a n35 movement as well
