The side profile, and the bracelet are beautiful. Not sure about the date indicator. Works though, my goodness it does. I shall follow your facial topiary with interest.

I really love your video for this watch. Very well captured and honest review. Actually ordered it just now. Black Friday deal 20% off. Was hesitant first. Now it was an easy decision. It actually is my first +1000 € watch. First I was going for a Longines spirit, but the price decrease pursuaded me. And the Longines is almost twice the price. Can't wait to have this Seiko!

I fully agree with the critique on the chapter ring. This is probably the key reason I went with the SPB217.

Your review was well done. SSE (GMT) are my dress watches (white and blue dial), as they were a steal for the money. High value prop. I'm still a Alpinist guy, but SSE (GMT) is a fine piece.

I bought this today but it is being returned tomorrow. When working with my AD, I also purchased a Hirsch blue leather strap to go on it. It wasn't until I got home until I realize that the strap will not work due to the integrated end link. I am not a fan of metal bracelets. Pretty sad about it.

I'm surprised it wouldn't fit the strap. Springbar a little too close to the case to fit?

@@TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces Yes and the end link is curved to meet the case so the gap (for the leather strap) would be a bit bigger than usual, if that makes sense.

I think the big draw with these is probably the true gmt movement for potential buyers. The Hamilton is a great watch though and a fair amount more affordable too.
