009 is for the world market and 175 is for US market and due to US customs the country of manufacturer must be printed on watch. Exactly same watch albeit for the dial stating it's manufactured in Malaysia for US consumers. That's it.

It’s not a Malaysian movement, it’s a Japanese made movement inside a watch assembled in Malaysia.

I was prepared to buy a Strapcode Super Jubilee band to replace the Seiko Jubilee but changed my mind after wearing it. It is too comfortable and attractive to take off for no good reason I can detect. My 009 is a great replacement for the Seamaster I sold. I wore it for years and nobody ever noticed..to my amazement.

I just didn't appreciate my SKX much and also didn't understand why this watch is so popular until I fitted it the jubilee bracelet.

I went through the same thing online with the SKX009K2 (007) research. Dial colors, the whole thing. I wound up buying a SKX009K2 from Amazon with the stock Seiko Jubilee bracelet. Spent a lot of time researching this. I wish I had seen your video earlier. Thanks, a fellow OCD. Now onto a NATO strap and possibly a Strapcode. Cheers...

Just ordered a Seiko 009skxJ before they started to out price themselves. Had some major improvements and modifications to make it a one of a kind watch. Included a nice thick Strap code hexad bracelet. Can't wait until it arrives.

Clockwork Synergy is a company that makes some great silicone bands for about $12 in a multitude of colors. Also, the Strapcode Angus Jubilee for a few more bucks is a bank vault of a bracelet. Good video, Dave. Also, a note on the stock jubilee bracelet, it's as floppy as wet noodle, but it's very comfortable.

The SKX009 is better than the SKX175. Even though they are both made in Malaysia, it doesn't actually say "Made in Malaysia" on the SKX 009 dial. Which is a big plus.

Enjoyed the video. The jubilee looks great on the SKX and the Invicta prodiver is a great deal with a kick ass movement for under 100 bucks.....hard to beat!

Good video Dave, it’s interesting to hear your thoughts on wearability vs. specs, which we can all look up. FWIW, I just received my 009J last week and I LOVE the factory jubilee. Sure it’s jangly and rattles, but it’s not to be underestimated. I also find it to be extremely comfortable.

It's funny I have way tooo many Invicta's, Aragon's and Deep Blue watch's all with the Seiko NH35 & 36 Seiko movements. They all keep better time than any of my Seiko Monsters, Skx007 & SKX009's. Excellent Video. Thanks for sharing.

Alot of people exaggerate about the seiko jubilee but its not that bad

one thing i noticed on ebay, at least when i looked, you do not see this watch used. this tells me people like it. maybe i just hit ebay at an off time, but all were new. IMOP, the Orient Ray 2 or Mako 2 is a superior watch bec of the upgrade automatic movement, hacking and windable. but, this is a classic and is worth it for that.

SKX175 is the larger version of SKX009. SKX009K1 is a malaysia-made, while SKX009J1 is a japan-assembled. Hope this clarify your confusion
