Hi Thanks a lot for this awesome video. i see that you didn't deal with the seal of the watch at all. i thought that if the watch is opened for battery replacement it has to be sealed back with some kind of glue for water resistance. So basically I understand that as you close it back the seal works again as before?

I only have a Pulsar solar chrono, VR43 which I believe is all part of the same family as the V17x's, I had enormous problems with it hanging up both hands at the 11 mark but I did a top deck clean and it works fine now. I had a huge row with Seiko UK about this as it was bought new, Seiko had just dropped Pulsar in the UK so refused to honour their warranty and I vowed not to buy new Seiko group stuff again if that is how they treat customers. I say that but I did buy a new Lorus Y676 but that was the last I did buy new from Seiko and the Lorus has been amazing.

So basically is like repalcing a normal battery, with the exception that this is a recharegable battery. How long does it takes for the battery to malfunction?

Nice video! What is all that you’re doing at the end, pushing the buttons, setting the dials? Is that needed for the battery to start working or just a courtesy to the customer? Thanks!

It’s better to do after changing the battery for starting new

Both chronograph arms get misaligned when the battery is changed out. The method shown here is the only way to reset them back to their default positions.

You handled the watch like a baby....i should be ready in 3 minutes. And also, if you should bring it to an AD, you`d pay €90.00 only for replacing. I`ll buy the charge battery and do it myself.......it`s sò easy.

my seiko solar watch went flat in April 2022 then I gave it a 5 hour charge and it worked. However in june 2022 it went flat again after I left it in a dark watch box for a while. Now I expose it to light but it moves in 2 seconds and doesn’t hold charge for long. What can I do to revive the battery?
