So here is my first bracelet review, as long as my watch reviews!!
Having just purchased a Seiko Alpinist in that gorgeous blue dial, I thought I would try a new bracelet from Strapcode Miltat called 'The Asteroid'
Here are my thoughts....

Thing is they don’t make many of these and getting rare to get one and it’s the best bracelet Iv seen and used on my Alpinist, it looks amazing and makes the watch pop even more and makes it look even more of a expensive watch in my eyes.

I have watched out for this bracelet and didn’t like it very much on its own. But specially with this Alpinist and that color of dial it is stunning!!! Good job mate👌👌

I got the Strapcode Asteroid for my SPDC089, which is the Alpinist with the cream dial. It really transformed the look of the watch, it looks so great. I have a 7.5" wrist, so I needed to remove 2 links, one on each side of the clasp, which was very easy to do. It was a toss up between the Asteroid or the Uncle Seiko Beads of Rice. I think both are beautiful.

I love their bracelets. I agree the gold and stainless for the SARB017 is to thick and the clasp is quite large wish it was slimmer but it doesn’t stop me from wearing mine. That blue dial one is on my list for sure.

One thing to bear in mind is the female endlinks on the UncleSeiko options, it has always made a big difference in fit in my case.

It's crazy how Seiko has army of loyal fans,every used Seiko will have pound to pound better resale price than any other brand including Rolex.I sold last year originally priced 180€ Skx for 600€. Btw: beautiful watch-that bezel and glass reminds me of GS ❄️.

That's a nice bracelet, however that clasp has no business being that big. It is both too thick and too long. The endlinks should have been inverted too. I think the best aftermarket bracelet for these are still the uncle straps jubilee and the uncle straps beads of rice.

Unfortunatly it is not possinle to change the clasp on the SPB197j1 as it os secured with a aditional bar. So for anyone who the regular seiko clasp does not fit perfectly to change the whole bracelet is the only option. The asteroide bracelet looks good as for the strapcode o boyer that is similari find the original seiko bracelet much better made, with smaler tolerances. But not fitting so ...

No the alpinist and sarb models have a slight different on the lug ends so they don't fit

Seiko make no effort to integrate bracelet and watch. They just have a box of random bracelets that they reach into and whatever comes out goes on the watch.
