Yeah, pretty much the case with all these speed runs. It's painful to watch, really. Like, what is the damn point of it? I fail to see the importance of speed runs.

@Sylver String Well, ok...if that's your thing. I would never want to play a game over and over again just so I can show off to the world how fast I can beat it. To me, the point of games is to just play them and enjoy them the way they are meant to be enjoyed. You can be really good while not giving a damn about speed.

I guess I just caught these videos in my recommended - I watch a bunch of game-related videos - and I was interested to see what people get out of playing a game quickly. But then again, RE2 - a fantastic game - does reward you for it so I get it. No worries, not my thing, but you're right...to each their own.

I have a little under 900 hours in the game, my first casual playthrough was roughly 30 hours. Pretty much everything here was not found by me but other members of the Sekiro speedrun community. On PC we can use tools and cheats to view the collision maps and experiment with different jumps and mechanics to figure out and practice what is possible in the game (the run itself is of course just the game, no cheats/external tools). My contributions boil down to very minor movement and boss fight optimizations and pulling everything off correctly and quickly in a single run.
