In today's video, I travel to Selayar Island to start another island adventure in South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Join me as I ride my motorcycle, Macan, on the ferry from Bira to Selayar island. I check -in at Tamamelong Eco Resort, my base for discovering the many hidden gems Selayar has to offer - I explore private beaches like Liang Tarrusu, Liang Kareta and Pantai Bahuluang. And much more from hidden caves to underwater wonders through diving. Dive into the local culture as I join fishermen for an authentic fishing experience.
Very few tourists visits this place compared to other islands like Bali, but it's hard to understand just why. Selayar Island has so much to offer!
In the next episode, I continue the journey to the 3rd largest Atoll in the world!

Sebelumnya bukan hanya di Indonesia saja untuk pertanyaan yg diajukan oleh Cak Kristian tersebut sebenarnya tpi berlaku ke seluruh Dunia bagi masyarakat Dunia. Untuk Indonesia, tidak mudah but possible to do untuk sebagai suatu habitual yakni dimulai dari usia dini dimulai dari masih kecil ditanamkan tidak hanya di sekolah tpi juga di lingkungan keluarga (yang terutama) kebiasaan untuk membuang sampahnya tidak sembarangan lalu ke sekitar yang terdekat pada nantinya akan muncul 'Rasa Malu' juga sense of 'Indahnya Kebersihan sekitar' yang banyak manfaatnya sehingga yang generasi Tua ada rasa malu akan anaknya yang masih kecil sudah lebih mengerti betapa pentingnya untuk Tidak Membuang Sampah apapun sembarangan. Baru diselenggarakan bersama Pemangku Kebijakan dengan masyarakat serta keyakinan yang kuat akan berhasil. Untuk area wisata tidak akan kesulitan tentang Kebersihan tersebut. Itu semua tergantung dari seluruh lapisan masyarakat yang ada. Kurang lebihnya seperti itu. There are no impossible as long as we ensure there are always posibilities. 🇮🇩💪😊🙏

Well, littering is very bad and I admit it and it's maybe become mostly some bad mentalling mostly of Indonesian but buy a beach and claiming it's your private beach I still don't understand what that mentality comes from. Is it a "mental" an "invader"? He has money doesn't mean he can buy anything he wants. The beaches are for the public not for someone that has a lot of money. Indonesia has bad experienced with an invader almost 3.5 century. I'm not saying Mr Doni is an invader but what his done with the beach is.

I'm currently living in Surabaya, but I was born and raised in Kalimantan and I accidentally found your video about Maratua. When I first watched it, I had no idea that it was in Kalimantan. I mean, I was born and raised in Kalimantan for 23 years (before I finally moved to Java), and I never knew about this beautiful island. That video hooked me up, and I watched other videos when you were in South Borneo, and it made me cry. I cried because I missed my hometown, and I also cried because I never really had a chance to explore all of those beautiful places like you did. I call selayar the hidden paradise...selayar sll menjadi kampung kedua buat sy yg pernah tinggal dan hidup selama 11 tahun (2003 s/d 2014). Salah satu tempat yg menyenangkan dan penuh memori in selayar island. The place, people, culture, specialy the beach n spot dive 😍😍😍. Love selayar ❤

Sory maaf nih, sebelumnya tolong jangan ambil kesimpulan terlalu cepat dengan menyalahkan mental bangsa kita Indonesia. Semua sampah yg kita lihat adalah produk hasil dari industrialisasi dan kapitalisme. Sampah plastik, hampir semua produk retail itu dibungkus plastik mulai dari bangun tidur sampai tidur lagi semua produk yg kita beli dan kira pakai menggunakan kemasan plastik. Kenapa tidak ada sampah logam besi aluminium di pinggir jalan ? Karena sampah logam punya nilai. Jangankan sampah, kapal Belanda yg karam 80 tahun lalu diangkut dari dalam laut utk diolah dan dijual. Industri retail di Indonesia melobi pemerintah utk boleh tidak menggunakan bahan plastik yg di daur ulang. Ini yg jadi persoalan. Kalau di Eropa lain cerita, di setiap toko swalayan kita bisa tukar botol langsung jadi uang. Ada bagusnya kalau pemerintah mengeluarkan UU ramah lingkungan dgn mewajibkan industri membeli sampah plastik dan penggunaan plastik daur ulang. Saya yakin akan ada perubahan yg signifikan karena melihat sampah seperti melihat uang.

Saat ini sampah plastik di Uni Eropa hanya bisa direcycle sekitar 10% saja ini data Central Polllution Control Board (CPCB) Uni Eropa loh. Sisanya 90% kemana ?? Uni Eropa baru bisa menargetkan utk mengolah sampah plastik sebanyak 15% sd 30% pada 2030. Sisanya yg 85 sd 70% kemana ?? Pada 2021 ada 57,2 Juta Metric Ton sampah plastik di Uni Eropa dan hanya bisa diolah 10,1% saja atau 2,3% dari seluruh sampah plastik yg dihasilkan di seluruh Uni Eropa. Sisanya kemana ?? Jadi nak bukan hanya Indonesia yg bermasalah tapi seluruh dunia. Kalau produsen produk retail diwajibkan mengurangi penggunaan plastik dan membeli plastik daur ulang akan beda ceritanya. Memang betul sampah harus dibuang pada tempatnya tapi kalau tidak diolah itu cuma memindahkan satu gunung sampah dan memindahkannya ke tempat lain. Sampah plastik tetap akan ada kan ?? Paham ya nak sampai disini.
