Hi! I was going thru some question related to this topic. One of the question - where do the occlusal contact possibilities occur during a protrusive movement? N ans given is - on the maxillary distal inclines and mandibular mesial inclines. Pls explain the concept. Thanks

Correct me if I'm wrong, at min 7.30 incase of the working side contacts but not the balancing side , shouldn't we grind the lingual inclines of the upper buccal cusp and the buccal inclines of the lower lingual cusp? I mean these the inclines that are interfering with the diagram movment of the mand. to the left. I think the dr. moved the maxilla instead of the mand. at the moment.

Hey Ryan, thanks so much for the video. I have a question plz. I read somewhere that we are not supposes to grind the cusp tips. Does that apply to natural teeth only? thank!!

Hi Dr.Ryan,i have a question. If one cusp contact early in centric and eccentric you asked to reduce the cusp ,right? So is it functional or non functional cusp we have to reduce and is it incline or cusp tip that we are reducing ? Can we reduce functional cusp? And are we reducing cusp

why anterior teeth should not touch their antagonist and posterior should do ?

Thank you so much, you make our learning journey quite easy. I have a question, in regard the selective grinding of denture teeth. During working side errors, but not the balancing side. Is it ok to grind the lingual incline of mandibular buccal cup or the buccal incline of maxillary lingual cusp, I mean the functional cusp ? Thanks a lot all of your videos are amazing !

What do you mean by centric and eccentric?
@mentaldental
@mentaldental 6 жыл бұрын
Hi Tal, thanks for the question. When I say "centric" I'm referring to centric occlusion (now referred to as maximum intercuspation), which in the ideal mouth is when all upper and lower cusps lock together comfortably. "Eccentric" refers to any jaw movements that move the teeth out of centric, so this would include protrusive and lateral movements. I also have more videos on occlusion if you want any more info!
