She was the complete package. Great voice could dance and had an amazing body. She was a great artist but to me it seems like she was a even better person. She was very caring, humble, charismatic & had a contagious smile/laughter. Also one last thing she had a great sense for fashion.

I had the pleasure of know her music through my 3 year old daughter then, (no she is 30) before her passed. We enjoyed her music so much. It was shocking that tragic day. The whole Latin America and we Latinos in the USA mourned her like if she was a family member. She was humble, funny, just a happy talented young lady. We miss her so much until this day. 😢.

I lived in Southern California for a few years before she passed and my friends turned me on to her. Then....OMG THEN.....when she put out the album "Dreaming Of You" and listened to "I Could Fall In Love" I was so excited for what was to come. And then to have it all taken away so abruptly was just beyond sad. It left the world stunned, angered, saddened that such a senseless act could take away the life of someone so incredibly humble, compassionate, and kind. Her gift will live on for ages.

She came across as kind and approachable and I think that, in addition to being unbelievably talented, made her so love-able. People really connected to her. Gosh P you did it again..wonderful reaction. All those outfits Selena wore, she designed herself. Did you see the guitar earrings? How about the ruby red slippers like Dorothy in Wizard of Oz? The purple jacket, purple high boots is on her wax figure at Madame Tussauds. Personally I'm proud of Selena(born in Lake Jackson Texas 1971) being a Texan like me...American..hispanic heritage. This is my first time on this channel. 10 minutes into this video, made me subscribe. Please pardon my language...to all those who do reaction videos. This is how you do it, take notes from this young lady. She never stopped the video, never said a word. Thats how you do a reaction video. Not talking throughout it. Talk whatever bullshit you want to talk at the end not during. Learn from this young lady, very professional and very respectful.

I missed so much of her story. I only discovered her after she had passed. I remember listening to that album through so many times. It's been a while since I listened to it. It's always sad when such promising artist's life ends so tragically. I've always felt drawn to latin music, it's often so joyous - although at times very melancholic too, but I've been a sucker from dramatics all my life. The first foreign song I remember loving was ABBA's Chiquitita. :D Thinking of it now it's pretty funny. Something in the way that song built up really cut to the core of me, I had no idea what was even sung. It was all about how it felt, the rhythm, the drama. Only later learned what the lyrics meant but it certainly didn't diminish it for me.

When I was a child I had internalized self-hate. The Mormons at school would make fun of my thick curly hair and call me a wetback, n***ge* lips, make fun of my big nose. I white-washed myself for acceptance. Selena brought me back from that, she was someone that had the same features as I did and the same color of skin. She meant and continues to mean so much to me, I miss her so much.
