@10Mboy Actually, she lived in Texas for at least 10 years, this after the Barney TV show and before she was discovered by Disney. And since she's currently 18, this means that she has lived most of her life in Texas. Also consider that she goes back to Texas as soon as she can (mostly during holidays). It's most likely that she dropped the accent to improve her chances at becoming a National (and eventually, an International) celeb. Cuz when you have an accent, they always stereotype you.

@10Mboy Meh, it goes both ways. The British usually think Americans speak with a Texan Twang. Coincidentally, Selena is from Texas and she doesn't have a very noticeable Texan accent.
