A.B. said in an interview that she actually didn’t want to perform this song at this concert and he was like “umm no it’s like Michael Jackson not performing Billie Jean” so it stayed on the set list. A lady from Univision also followed her and interviewed her before the concert and she had a ton of pizza and Coca Cola around so yeah lol so iconic. Love her. 💜💜

Si Una Vez is by far my favorite song of hers. Her voice is sooo powerful in it. Music is my escape, and not having Selena here is a heartbreak every day

Ahhhh, I'm crying!!! You definitely have to do more Selena😭😭😭 A curious fact is that Michael Jackson was her role model, and when she was younger she went to his show there in the Astrodome and she dreamed of becoming a huge star and having her own show there, and she did it before passing. Her story is simply heartbreaking. Her life was taken away when she was only 23 by this disgusting lady (who's being released in 2025). She was so talented and beautiful. She would have become the greatest Latina artist of all time. It's really sad how she was saying goodbye, when she says "Mil abrazos y mil besotes a cada uno de ustedes. Cuídense muchísimo y nos vemos muy pronto", which means "A thousand hugs and thousand kisses to each one of you. Take care of yourselves and see you soon": there was no see you soon! 😭 Gone, but never forgotten. Rest in peace Queen! P.S: There was a part when she says "Cumbia". That's a Latino musical genre, which is basically the genre of the song she's singing.

Selena was an incredible phenomenon. She was humble and grateful for what she had. He loved to sing and he loved his audience. What he does when the song begins, sing it slowly, that he did for the first time in Mexico, in Monterrey, it was his first performance there, there were thousands of people who formed hours to be able to see it. He was already singing but the spirits were very heated and people were pushing themselves towards the stage so hard that it began to crunch and they were about to throw it away. Everyone was scared and her dad wanted to put her down and cancel the presentation for safety. The organizer did not want them to come down, it was a lot of people. Then Selena said that she was in charge, she asked her musicians to play very slowly like the flower, that's how it began and in a moment she asked everyone to be silent with just a gesture, everyone was silent and calmed down and she could continue with the concert. Since then, that way of beginning the song has become classic.

Despite her natural great talent and hard work, I think the "special ingredient" that lifted her above so many others and made it impossible to take your eyes of her was her humility and sweetness. There did not seem to be a "diva" bone in her body. She stayed true.

Bob band Freddy Corea. of Barrio Boyz and Don Shelton were the backup dancers and singers to SYLD.. SELENA'S husband Chris on lead guitar, brother AB on bass guitar, her sister Suzette on drums though they got a replacement bc she sprained her foot. Rick Vegas and Joe on keyboards and what have ya. Please please react to Selena singing Girlfriend/What have you Done for me Lately? She was 17 years old in 1988. Her voice wasn't as strong BUT her stage presence was definitely strong!
