Since the creation of this video, the edureka web page used for this tutorial has changed and your illustrated example doesn't work anymore. I provided comment on the previous video. Updating this video will probably be very difficult, but at the very least, you should consider adding some comments on the video description outlining these changes and how to change the code to make the example work.

At 25:58 you said, there are a LOT of things you cannot do with Selenium. It got me thinking since I am getting up to speed with Selenium but i also use TestComplete. So I started to look for what Selenium cannot do as points of reference as I use it more and more. Does not have its own IDE Have to download drivers Cannot test Windows Apps Has no reporting ability Has no Object Spy Has no built in Record and Playback Can not view all properties and methods of a web object Does no allows Named Mapping of pages Support Does not allow visual reporting of pages during execution And yet: Selenium is powerful and extremely useful! And all those 'can be overcome' But the biggest thing in its favor is: It's FREE! :D I'm SO glad you are teaching this course. You present very well. Thanks

Thank you for the tutorial. I am a beginner to SeleniumTesting. For a beginner like me, these tutorials are very clear and well explained. I have a small doubt. As you have said in the previous tutorial we can find the elements in chrome browser using F12 key. Is it possible to check the Xpath in chrome browser. Please let me know if there is any plugin to check Xpath in chromebrowser or do I have to install firefox browser and add firepath plugin. Is there any alternative? Thanks in advance

Hey Giri Prasad, thanks for checking out our tutorial! You can use the XPath Helper which is a chrome extension. You can download it from the chrome store. But, in fact, you don't need it for finding the XPath. By inspecting you can right click on any element you want XPath for and click on "Inspect Element" and then again inside the Inspector, right click on element and click on "Copy --> Xpath". Thanks for the session on Selenium. I have been thinking about RBAC for Selenium console users. I’m not sure if it makes sense as Selenium is an API based testing tool. Can you please help me with some ideas regarding authentication and authorization on Selenium console and the APIs in a multi-tenant model?

Can you please elaborate more on your RBAC query? Because Selenium does not have a console, the scripting tool used by the instructor is Eclipse Programming IDE. And there is no need for API based Authentication/ Authorization for working with Selenium as the web site you are testing is directly tested by the browser driver which does not require authentication or authorization. Veru good explanation done by Akanksha, except one point: She uses Chromedriver example in this video, but when it comes to WebElement Locator techniques (at 1:16:08), she uses FireBag and FirePath,, which is Firefox plugins, which does not exist in Chrome... So, it blocking me at this point to follow up the lesson. Please help!

Simply double click on sikuli-setup.jar or b. from command prompt execute the command: java -jar sikuli-setup.jar) Choose options as shown setup options Confirm download download jar file Include sikuli-java.jar in your project build path (let eclipse just link to its location) Usage sample here" Hope this helps!

Good Tutorial,1:41:34 class name with spaces is not single class name.Multiple classes can be applied to an element with spaces.

Can we test Oracle Products with Selenium? Example: Oracle Inform Application, Oracle IRT application. These are proprietary applications from Oracle. We test clinical studies with these applications. They have multiple web browsers (data entry screens). Is it possible to test between data in two screens. ? Thanks

Hi Abhishek, Open the Xampp control panel Click on 'config' behind 'Apache' Select 'PHP (php.ini)' from the dropdown -> A file should now open in your text editor Press ctrl+f and search for 'max_execution_time', you should fine a line which only says max_execution_time=30 Change 30 to a bigger number (180 worked for me), like this: max_execution_time=180 Save the file 'Stop' Apache server Close Xampp Restart Xampp 'Start' Apache server Update Wordpress from the Admin dashboard.
