The scanner will also detect counterfeit notes. There is actually quite a bit of secrecy around this to avoid being circumvented. Should be interesting to investigate...

@@DavidKcPrice To my knowledge, there are certain areas of secret patterns on € notes. Depends on the notes, of course.

I think some PoP recyclers can be set up to hold counterfeits in a special cassette.

These are the fastest- and probably most reliable- point-of-purchase recyclers in the industry. I didn't know the coin recycler itself was so complicated.

I wonder if a piggy bank might be able to work with slightly modified firmware. Then, just stash all of your money into it and type in the exact amount you need out of it. Maybe have a pincode system to 'separate' out the piggy bank into different amounts for multi-user family usage? Unless the existing firmware already provides that functionality. Maybe it's possible to disconnect or shut off the LEDs in firmware as well? And with a user selection screen, it could be very quick to put money in as well.

Moin, ich hab dein Kanal gerade gefunden und muss sagen das ist alles echt sehr interessant. Würdest du auch Sachen verkaufen? Ich würd echt gerne dieses Preischecker-Terminal dir abkaufen, auch gern nur eins oder zwei, und den Handscanner. Bastle auch gern mit so nem Kram.
