This doesn’t work without real resistance. It would be like learning moves in BJJ then not rolling. It’s when you feel full pressure that you learn important things. Great example No Gi shoulder lock throw. Works great on willing opponents but go for it when they are fighting back. Limited opportunities to use it. As far front choke I think it’s easier to break grip by arm up first, turn then trap their arms between body and upper arm. From there you have way more options. As far as kicks to the shin yes they hurt but I seriously doubt those kicks she had would phase me. I’m used to sparring and I use my shin all the time. She would be better with a foot stomp or kick to the nuts. Going for the eyes is a good tactic though. You ever get an eye poke by accident you know they suck.

Nice techniques .... but what if the attacker isn't cooperative ?? Like a real situation?

He's slowing it down to explain how the situation works: obviously you can't just watch a youtube video and copy what they do, you have to practice to react fast.

I am thinking you have never done any physical training, no dance training, no martial arts training, no sports training. It is impossible to teach any physical activity if all you do is do it at full power & speed, training is not fighting, you have to be taught the principles, the bio physics and the muscle memory

@ShiddyShad8084 жыл бұрын
Josefina Josefina A few tips he is giving are legit, like for the little girl to peel away one finger using both her hands vs his 1 finger then kick and flail and scream and throwing the phone, did the same thing when I went to Brazil to train, carried a fake wallet with a few bucks and fake cards, my jiujitsu coach suggested I do that in case I ever was robbed in the street, just throw the fake wallet and jet the opposite direction, however his defense against the throat grab and all the attacking the eyes bullshit is total nonsense and will never work against a stronger resisting opponent. Never bring your your arms to the outside of the attackers, if you have shorter reach or they just lift their arms you won’t be able to reach their face, also kicking an attackers shins with the bottom of your untrained feet aren’t going to make anyone let go. First if someone grabs your throat you need to shrug your shoulders, then bring your hands up the middle like you are praying, shoot them straight upward like reaching for the sky, then outward like a fence post, then chop downward to break the grip, it’s your entire upper body vs their hands, most important is break the grip, scratching eyes will just piss them off and they will squeeze harder and you will be asleep within 3 to 6 seconds, break the grip, run away, forget all the fancy head butting or going for the groin like all these bullshido instructors insist on, the main goal is to get away quickly as possible. Learn jiujitsu, learn Muay Thai, learn the stuff that professional fighters and legit world class martial artist actually use, these “women’s self defense techniques” are always the worst and literally piss me off when I watch them.

If you’re trying to hit someone, don’t make a fist 👊. Hit them with your palm facing outward. If you hit with a fist and the attacker is big, you’ll end up hurting your fingers/breaking them.

A big guy in Aussie accent doesn’t mean he know what he is doing. Half of the technique is NOT possible simply because you can’t reach the guy. Also I’d like to see a child being able to pull a finger off of a lumberjack sized men. There are good self defense techniques on KZfaq, this is NOT one of them. Try it with a big guy at 50% aggression, bet you can’t even reach him. But a strangle can put you out in 3.5 seconds flat.
@elephantmarch5 жыл бұрын
You're assuming every mugger is a giant sized lumberjack. This will not work, say, with a large man who has a small amount of fighting expertise, but it could work with a more average sized man OR a big man who's drunk and half-out of it. Professional wrestlers are not USUALLY in the alley mugging business. Even if these techniques only work 50% of the time, and are obviously less effective then simply not walking in secluded areas by yourself, that's still leaves open times they COULD work.

Husnain Studio That video is nothing but a Hapkido demonstration and none of it will help you if fighting against someone with even a high school wrestling background, doing backflip kicks won’t help when fighting a Judoka or boxer or wrestler, it looks pretty, but is not practical.
@ShiddyShad8084 жыл бұрын
Cal L I agree dude, he is showing some silly stuff, the throat grab defense is horrible, nobody will magically let go because a little woman kicks their shin or reaches for the eyes, if anything they will get more pissed and squeeze tighter.

Situational awareness - we're glued to our phones when walking everywhere, not stopping to scan for threats, allowing people to walk up behind us. We don't take the time to look for alternative exits inside buildings, always know not only the door you came in, but emergency exits and backdoors. Park in well lit areas, leave space for retreat/escape in drive throughs. I learned these tips at www.bcsgunclass.thinkific.com when getting my handgun license. My choice for self defense as a last resort.

These are valuable moves women and especially kids. But, I don't see much of this as being effective for older, out of shape women. I don't have enough physical power to do much damage, even with adrenaline pumping. One thing that would give the little girl more chance of escaping is to use BOTH hands to pry the attacker's hold on her mouth.

Lexie Leith The sad thing is, most people don't respond to screaming "Rape!". But they'll be more likely to react to "Fire!".
@da41276 жыл бұрын
Brianna Wyatt Wow Im 4 years late but the idea is that if you scream “help” you could need help for many reasons and the attacker can make it look as if he is helping the girl in this case. He can pretend the child was choking or something similar and get away. However, if you scream “let me go” its quite clear that she is getting kidnapped.
@da41276 жыл бұрын
Tyler Arke That is a dumb reason, else she would be screaming “fire” and not “let me go”, just wtf was that? Plus you only need people’s attention to scare the attacker and not their response in any other way.
