The one handed grab is more of an intimidation move that isn't followed up with anything. In most cases the aggressor who does this isn't expecting a fight, which is why the one handed grab is a common school yard bully move.
In this FightFast self defense tip, you will learn a simple wrist joint lock that will quickly make the aggressor regret they ever targeted you.

When somebody comes after you for a fight you have to put them down as hard (break there bones/wrist/arms/knee/ankle), and as fast as you can. Definitely don't be shy or second guessing yourself about it.

Thanks Bob, this is the best demonstration I have seen of this move on a video. An old Green Beret friend first showed me this move but you filled in a few useful details. Also thank you for always encouraging restraint when the threat is not severe. People always need to understand that we do not always have to break bones or skulls in every confrontation. When we do - we do!

Good video. I like the clear instructions, nice and simple. I'm retired military, and come from a very military family, and was taught very early the importance of torque control when it comes to holds. And of course, attacking the joints, as they are the weak points where pain can be afflicted very easily... great for stopping a larger attacker.
