Those "self righteous bullies" have no idea what kind of damage they are doing to others, especially adults that have childhood PTSD that were raised by abusive and overly critical and demanding parents. Legalistic people in the church can destroy a person's spirit. Jesus was perfect, because we can't be. We are under God's amazing Grace, and only He can make us into the person He wants us to be. "There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus". Thank you and God bless you, Pastor Blakes!

I struggle with this every once in a while. I practice each day by encouraging myself to accept that the past is what it means. It's about living daily for his glory. So grateful for his mercy and grace.

Keep giving it to God , speak God's word over your life no matter what you feel like 🙏🏾 God forgives and forgets our sins as far as the East is from the West. Open your Bible and meditate on God's word. We've all made plenty of bad choices and made so many mistakes. God knows your heart 💔 let Him mend it ❤ tell the devil to shut up when he tries to destroy your peace.

For some, it is much easier to forgive others than yourself. Because sometimes you feel your not deserving of "forgiveness " But with sound teaching you learn to forgive yourself. Its a process. Nothing happens over night.❤❤

If you can't forgive yourself, you'll have trouble forgiving others. And if you can't forgive others, the command to "forgive our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us" cannot be fulfilled. Our Almighty God is a God of completion and justice🙏🏾

Pastor Blakes, my son committed suicide on the first day of this month. He was 17 years old and he had been sick for years with no relief. Thank you for your ministry it has meant so much to me for the last few years. I started watching when I was going through my divorce and now you've helped me through not just my divorce depression, but also a pandemic, the death of my father, and the death of my firstborn child. I haven't had a church in a long time before COVID started, but your channel has helped me find my way back to God's word. Thank you 🙏

Sometimes we need to go back and make things right when we can. I think in some cases your conscience is guilty. That is why you can't forgive yourself because pride won't allow you to apologize to others Just my thoughts 💭

Thank you! This needs to be taught more, if one cannot forgive themselves it will be next to impossible to forgive others. Once you can forgive yourself, you can move forward to become a whole person in God's purpose for you.

I’m sorry it’s not always easy for everyone. Forgiveness is a process eventually they need to get over that but everyone has their day when they will overcome whatever is holding them hostage. Pray for people and let God do his work. Let’s be clear God is angry with many things. I don’t understand why people don’t talk about Gods wrath. Do we as creators of the almighty get angry? Yes, you don’t think God don’t? Yes he loves us but just as a parent he gets pissed. 🤦‍♀️

Bishop I agree, yet it is not normal to have your former Pastor of a large church micromanage (narcissist) your life, and the lives of friends, family, workplace and so on. Going NO CONTACT, brings me peace to not concern myself with what is said, done or not. Yes, FORGIVE both self and others, also keep in mind those that are trying to pull you down are already beneath you. Let him find a new source of supply/scapegoat, that cleverly led him to this moment.

You dont need self forgiveness if the holy spirit is working in your life. Once our Lord Jesus christ calls you to him and works a real thing in your life, your sins are forgiven and self forgiveness is irrelevant. JESUS is everything and as a result you are naturally freed from any bondage, self or imposed. If you are still struggling with self forgiveness, maybe thats the problem. Self is right in the word! We don't have the ability to free ourselves from the guilt of sin! Thats why Jesus did what he did. We CAN'T forgive ourselves. But no one can judge us apart from him thankfully

Wonderful... Till you started the money talking. I would use this teaching to reach unsaved friends , but then you must leave out the begging (we don't give from all over the world to your congregation... It's not appropriate
