“All childhood in history sucked” I’m only a minute in but this is an interesting perspective to come from. I think our goal is to make things BETTER than the last generation but I have a feeling he thinks that framework isn’t what’s happening. Also you need more money to achieve what previous generations did and self help often sells you on how buying their book will make you more productive thereby richer which isn’t true.

I love how he speaks…and his spiel about self-help…but there is no such thing as a reflecting on the lot of the past…our war is with the present. And if we want masculinity we have fight it on our own terms…here-and-now…solitarily if need be b/c men can only do so much in a world that’s succeeding in emasculating men and boys… There is no reason to look towards the past, our present society has alienated us from tradition and discipline.

Self-help is not great, self-development is awesome! Reading books rather than watching Netflix or playing video games is a better investment than believing that self-help is bs and not doing an f°ck about it. Self-development is acknowledging that there is work that needs to be done to improve your life circumstances. This has been done in all of human history, and only in this day and age, we are more aware of it. Self-actualization is the last step to be fulfilled as a human being and that is reading books, following seminars, and building businesses to give to the community as your purpose. This guy talks bs and discourages people to look for more answers, I´m sorry.

You do have to resolve your childhood otherwise its going to run your life and all your relationships from the background. Manifesting itself in all kinds of ways. Envy, jealousy, need for control, fear of rejection and abandonment. Numerous others... If you had resolved your childhood traumas you'd know this already.

Depends on the person. I think this sort of therapy is given as a general cure, even though specific people really need it. If I were to prescribe a general cure, it would be being fit(clean and attractive), earning capital in manner that doesn't make you hate life, and ignoring things you cannot control(world affairs, politics, etc). Now it doesn't need to be one or the other, we can have both.

I think it's every generation born 1930 onwards. Watch Dallas 1978....therapy due to broken childhood and was a key part of the drama. The characters in therapy where born 1930s-40s.

I’ve heard all he’s saying here numerous times, I’ve watched other videos of his numerous times, and I’ve read his book numerous times. None of that is enough for me not to froth at the mouth when there’s new videos of the same stories.

Let’s please differentiate something important here…rarely do I disagree with Zan, as someone who is a member of his gentleman’s club. Alas, there is a difference between self-help and true, authentic inner work. If we do not take the time to know ourselves at our deepest depths, (this absolutely includes examining our childhoods) we will not be able to show up in the world as the men we’re meant to be. We must know ourselves. What intrigues me more than anything is that I believe Zan healed himself through women. Genuinely reborn through the divine feminine spirit. This is the highest, most divine form of healing, the feminine test of initiation. There are four variations of feminine testing. This is when the universe itself is embodied in a woman, offering you a chance to raise your consciousness in the moment of her tests. A beautiful and rare form of healing. Initiation testing is the rarest and most intense of all, when our core wounds and traumas can dissolve completely through a woman’s divine feminine tests, where she becomes an oracle for the universe. I don’t know for sure but I have a strong feeling that Zan has healed himself through the divinity of feminine testing. And I would be interested to hear his thoughts.

Nehhh don't agree... reality is that everything is self help, or rather self healing... whether you've got traumatic wounds or physical wounds, only you can heal them, nobody can do it for you, nobody but you needs to go through the process of healing, encounter the mess inside, learn to relax and unidentify with the mess inside and enjoy the liberating steps to new constructive habits... The books are guides, they help if you open up to the philosophy and the practices and then get to work yourself, go through the practices, create new habits and transform the stuff that doesn't work for you anymore...
