I'm pathetic about portraits, can't get on with plein air. That's why I moved to still life. About Liquin Original, I also hate those silly bottles...cap always stuck or thread is blocked by drying Liquin. That's why I transfer all from silly bottle to glass jar. Even if some sticks and dries on thread, is easy to remove. Great video.

Any tips on how you make sure your head is always in the same position when you turn to look in the mirror? Seems like it would be very easy to turn your head too little or too much, and possibly look up or down slightly different. Thanks Tanner, I enjoyed the breakdown of your process.

Really informative video, with some good take aways. The background music could use a little less volume

Waarom gebruikt u geen watervermengbare verf? Is dat geen goede verf. Dank voor uw info. Met groet.

I have a question, do you get rid of the absorbency with that mixture you use for the imprimatura? ( liquin, solvent and linseed oil) I even get sinking in issues even when I use oil ground for priming the canvas.

Sinking in doesn't bother me quite as much as it did when I started painting. If you notice it, just apply a thin layer of oil to the surface to reveal the true color and value of the previous layer. You can then continue painting. Liquin tends to reduce the rate of sinking in, but it still occurs on occasion.
