Rosy Hernandez Thanks! And I think this will also help a lot of Actors of every level because some experienced actors still do slates all the time. Not many know that they aren’t always needed. Always doing a slate often makes actors look too amateur.

@@BelgicaPaola Where/How do you manage to film it to where it captures you head,shoulders,ears...etc? I mean normally I have someone hold it for me,but what do I do if I dont have anyone?

Unless requested by casting director I won't add slates. Definitely when applying tho make sure you are on point with directions given when submitting tapes. Great examples of various slates and I do say the hair looks great natural !

100% ALWAYS read the directions at least 3 times before filming and once more before sitting down to edit. Especially if you get a lot of audition requests, it is easy to assume they want it the same even if it is the same CD, they change.

I don't understand how people are suggesting you mispronounce your own name. Imagine me as a Brit telling someone called Vince or Hunter not to pronounce their names with an American accent

help okay so i’m doing a self tape and the slate is your name, height, age, where you live and what song you’ll be singing, how would i word that??

Hi Ava! It would be similar to the commercial example I did on this video without the profiles. So, "Hi, my name is Belgica, I am five ten, 28 years old, I live Los Angeles,CA and I'll be singing Single ladies by Beyonce." of course insert what is true to your details. 👍
