In todays video we are joining up all the dots we have installed our water tank, our gas tank, our water heater, our toilet, shower and sink its now time to tie them all together with pipework and a pump system, in this video I explain how my system works how I made the connections and how I fixed the inevitable leaks!
Please note the pipe work I installed in the video is 12mm OD and not 10mm as stated in the video

Another informative and helpful video 👍 An expansion tank may help stop the water from spluttering.

Thanks again for the comment I did look at putting an accumulator in the system but spoke to a few people even a local caravan repair shop who sells them and he advised that I wouldn't need one, as it is the system works fine with no spluttering when in frequent use we have done 2 proving run out now and the system is holding up well 😀👍

I notice how hardly anyone uses the collet retaining clips for these fittings ? FYI, they're just a colour-coded circlip that sits behind the release collar preventing accidental pipe withdrawal.

the failor you have is this: when you pushed the pipe in correctly you have to pull it back then it is water proof and no leaks ;-) thanks for the video , appreciated

I wish it was that simple sometime the connections just are not up to the job and need replaced we have only had 2 fail in 2 years I'm happy with those odds 😀👍

Hello again! Maybe a stupid question, but does the shower mixer have a 12V connection or how does it trigger the pump to start working? Thanks again for the great video!

Hi sorry for the delay in responding the system works when the pressure drops the water pump starts so if you press the shower button this opens a valve allowing the water to flow and the pressure within the system to drop, this pressure drop triggers a switch in the pump and it starts pumping, release the shower button pressure builds back up and stops the pump hope this helps😀

Great video and great series. I have my 12mm pipes under the floor, waiting for that stage in my build. As you mention, the pump sounds quite loud but, I notice the bed wasn't in place at the the time of this instal. What is the noise level like when in use now, do you notice it much now the bed is fitted? Also, are you able to box the pump in for added silence? Cheers. Mal.

Hi tganks for your kind words We don't notice it the pump really I've just had to run it to see how loud it is 😁 its quiet now we have the bed and furnishings in place I wouldn't go to tge extent of boxing is as we only use it for short periods

Thanks for the video, I am waiting to install water in my camper and I have doubts about using this system or 10mm and 16mm thick braided hose. Given your experience, what do you recommend? Thank you

The water system has been fault free ive only had one issue where frost damaged the shower mixer you just need to make sure in winter if your leaving it for any length of time to drain the system down thoroughly I would still use 10mm plastic if i was to build another van👍

I thought the water pump had to be installed opposite to what you have done.... I didn't think it matters myself and as it looks yours is perfectly fine...?

@@flyonthewall7026 your question had me intrigued so I looked into it there is no right way or wrong way to install the pump according to Sureflo install manual My system works perfectly I've had no issues in the last 12 month
