I think English learners nowadays spend too much time on Tiktok and Reels genuinely believing it will improve their language skills. What they forget is that they actually have to put effort into practice and not just consuming English related content. I think your tips are spot on 🔥 Thank you for the video!

It is an interesting video, Many teachers don´t say important things like these to their students. I think a class is not only to share the content of the syllabus, but share many other things will help them to understand batter the foreign language exactly like this. Thank you very much.

Well, on my own journey : 1. Poor planning : I don't really know what good planning or poor planning might be. The way I learned English was sort of a jump-into-the-water-and-start-swimming approach. I think what saved me from actually drowning and giving up is the fact that I'm very curious .... so whenever there is something I have trouble understanding or don't know how it really sounds like, I tend to focus on understanding the concept or getting used to certain sounds I previously had trouble with. 2. Speaking English : I totally agree with you and my theory is that one's native language, at least initially, has a big impact on the way we're used to producing sounds or phonemes. Practice makes perfect : with time and practice it's possible to kind of soften our accents. 3. Fear of making mistakes and being judged : I think being criticized for the way we speak English can actually makes us aware of many mistakes that otherwise we wouldn't be able to become aware of on our own. When I was a beginner I went for usefulness. Can I ask questions or ask for help? Can I order food in a restaurant? With time I started becoming more ambitious. 4. One doesn't watch enough material in English : I agree that that's a huge mistake. In my case, frequent exposure to the language has been the key. 5. One wants to be perfect too fast : well, that's what narcissists usually do. They seem to always expect quick results without putting out the hard work one needs to in order to get good results. Peace.
