I started in november, i just hit 2k on my 90 day total sales. Thanks to youtubers like Jride flips, technsports, Flippin aint easy, shed flips, one foot flipper, and flipping junk i have a 100 item store with 40 sales in just under 2 months with a 5 a day listing habit while working a 9 to 5. also 8 positive feedback as seller and seeing 1-3 sales a day consistently for the last couple weeks. The advice these channels give is GOLD. I live by sell through rate and if not i price down until it creates a fast sell through rate. Thank you jride

Not being negative. Just letting your people know my experience. I run a repair shop so I started out with a ton of electronics and electronic parts and those frauds were about 1 in every 50 transactions. Until I started letting people know in my description I record the whole process of testing, shipping and returns. Electronics are a lot more likely to get at least fishers for refunds.

I'm a new seller on Ebay. I put the cost of shipping supplies in the price of the item being sold and the buyer pays for shipping at Ebay rates. So far, this is working nicely. I never list an item without having the item pre-weighed and pre-packaged if it's hard goods. Clothing is kept sealed in a zip lock bag with the item number on the bag and packaged when sold. Thanks for your videos as they have been very helpful. Picking up high sell thru items has been a huge help to our business! 💲🤑

Jake, thank you for pointing out the "eBay island" aspect. 3 months after I retired, my former supervisor called, and asked me to please come back, because sev new hires didnt show up. (All young, which doesnt make a good statement for modern youth in the workforce.) Anyway, i returned to work for another year; then worked 3 years at state parks, because my car bit the dust and I had to replace it. Long story short, after I got my new- to-me vehicle paid off, I realized I wanted to work for myself. I got into eBay and have never looked back. 😊😊

This is by far the most informational and useful video on here regarding ebay selling. I just started a couple weeks ago, just trying to get rid of old crap and make some cash. The loneliness is real! I quit a career of 15 years and busted my butt for the first 5 months on my eBay business and at the age of 37 I had my first ever round of depression that lasted for about six months and I finally figured out why and it was the lack of a social life. It took me a little while but I snapped out of it and I'm back to the grind again but I make sure to hangout with some of my old coworkers and it's been enough to keep me happy and rolling on. When I left I had accounted for every worst case scenario I could think of but in the end what affected me the most is missing the guys I spent almost half of my life with. I know it sounds corny but I liked the guys and my job but it was the company that had slowly changed and made me want to leave.

I love you and want the best for you. I want you to know there is someone who loves you very much and his name is Jesus Christ. Jesus loves you and can give you peace, love and joy. Jesus can deliver you from addictions, depression, suicidal thoughts, anxiety and heal your pain and suffering. Jesus is the only one who can fill that void in you that's missing something which is a relationship with God. He can make your life better and give you joy, peace and love. Let Jesus into your heart and life and he will make everything better. Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-30 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. Jesus came as the Son of God and gave his life for you. ♥ Jesus Christ loves you so much that he came as God in human flesh and died on the cross for your sins and rose on the 3rd day defeating death. Turn from sin to the one who can forgive you and give you a new heart, new desires and peace. All who repent greek word metanoeo meaning change ones mind from believing in what you believe in to believing in Jesus Christ death, burial and resurrection will be saved. Realise you are not a good person and have sinned against a Holy and just God. Gods standard for good is perfection which we cant be perfect because of sin and we can't die for our own sins. There needs to be a Holy, perfect sacrifice to take your place and be the atonement for your sin who is Jesus Christ. Turn to him cry out to Jesus Christ to forgive you of your sins confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead and you will be saved. For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. If you have hated someone Jesus said you have committed murder in your heart. Jesus said if you lust after someone sexually you committed adultery in your heart. To know to do right and do wrong is sin. Lying, stealing, using God's name in vein, unmarried sex, getting drink, getting high, etc. God's standards are alot higher than ours. We have to go by his standards. We all deserve to die and go to Hell but God loves us enough to send his son Jesus Christ to die for our sins. Put your trust in Jesus Christ like you would a parachute and you will be saved. God's grace is unmerited favor and is given to all who accept the free gift of eternal salvation. Turn from your sinful life to Jesus Christ before its to late. Eternity is to long to be wrong. I love you and Jesus can make your life better and give you joy, peace and love. ♥

Amazing channel and advice. I get a buzz sourcing items, an actual rush. I've shivered with adrenaline paying for items that were cheap only because I already know how much I will be able to flip it for. I don't sell tat, but high value items. Works well for me, keeps me out of a 9-5 office job and allows me to have more family time working from home. A scammer or courier losing my item in the post can seriously eat in to my profit margins big time though which is the only downside to my business and it has happened.

Love the advise. Especially to tell people to get as much feedback as possible through buying before selling. Luckily I've been on ebay just as a customer since 2001. When it comes to focusing on asking listed vs focusing on sales goals those are kind of hand in hand but it rewrite understanding all through rate. The best advice is to find your MINIMUM acceptable sell through rate and then you a target of listed items that are all at that minimum or higher. If you do that and researched your STR properly than the sales will follow the listing quantity Also, recommending people only look for items for 100+% str is absurd, I've been trolling for years and do well, but I could go months without finding a single 100% str item that's profitable

I’ve sold 1.9k items and include a handwritten personal thank you card in every one. (Except media mail, that’s a no no). I’ve found that my customers really appreciate this - they’re less likely to get upset if they’re slightly unhappy, I get wonderful feedback and sometimes it makes their day. Because it’s time consuming during shipping I’ve started to pre write cards leaving a space to write in the item so it’s personal. Pack of 8 thank you cards at dollar tree are still just $1.

Shipped a very well packaged diploma holder, but unfortunately it got slightly damaged on delivery. Buyer requested a return and sent a pic of the damage. No problem. I accepted the return but then they left me neutral feedback (that ebay refused to remove but I am ok with that) stating basically they were too lazy to return the item and just wanted a refund. It is what it is.

When looking at sell-through rate, how far back in time can a seller see in the eBay app? Is this time span something that can be changed in settings? In my very limited experience, the Solds don't go far back -- maybe a couple of months. I would love to see more like one year's worth of Solds. Also, how do you get the juicy eBay trending stats that you share in your videos? And I agree with the eBay Island factor. It can be a drag, even though I am an introvert. I also tell them if they could rate my store whether bad or good. Nothing but 10/10 ratings on shipping, communication etc. I do not do returns and do flat rate shipping. When they want it they want it as long as it is a good product.

Hey I know you said keep listing and you will get more sales. But what I’m trying to understand is you also said having a lot of items listed and 2 or 3 sales is not a good look. What do you do not to end up like that if I’m at 33 list with 10 sold. I ended up listing more after my 8th sale everyday. What do I do to keep listing but not end up stacking so much? Do I delete some of the old ones or what? Im listing used auto parts.

Hey man great video, I’ve been struggling recently and the fees eBay are charging now are getting too much for me, mainly because of values dropping, what’s the take on eBay selling items now with the final value fees and promoted listing fees are off the total price Inc VAT, where’s as before it was fees based on the sale price not the total including VAT?? It’s honestly screwing me right now

I have had ridiculous reasons for returns. Ebay allowing fraudulent returns and failing to authenticate a legitimate item. I am dreding everytime my notifications go off because it's another return.

I just LOVE they charge the seller's fee of the total (sell price + shipping + sales tax). And, it's at 13.5%. What a joke.

I have question about returns. If the buyer pays for initial shipping and you pay for the return, are you only refunding the cost of the item?
