V=I.R We need "I" to heat wire right? But is it safe? Connecting "+" and "-" without a "R"(Resistence) Power Supply may burn and explode

Why does the short circuiting not cause the powerbank to have issues or shutdown to protect the power bank? no resistor used?

Cosmo John the wire is the resistor because it's so small. Nichrome wire is heat resistant so it won't melt but it still creates heat from the friction of electron flow
