Democratic Sen. John Fetterman tells "Face the Nation" that although he knows his state will be "very competitive" in the 2024 election, "Joe Biden beat Trump in Pennsylvania and he's going to do that again."

I was never a Fetterman fan but I am happy to finally hear a high level government official, a democrat nonetheless, point out that Hamas surrendering and returning the hostages would end the war instantly. I don’t understand why we don’t hear this more.

Speaking in an interview with the Kan public broadcaster, the far-right minister was asked if, in his view, bringing back the 134 captives who are being held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip since the October 7 Hamas onslaught was the most important goal. Smotrich also lashed out at those who are calling for a deal that would bring the hostages home “at any price.” “‘At any price’ is a problem. We have to return the hostages and we have to put pressure on Hamas,” he said.

I was so proud to see Senator Fettermen on my favorite Sunday morning show "Face the Nation" with Margaret Brennan. I like his thinking when it comes to possibly ending the war in Israel/Gaza -Palestine. He thinks that if Hamas would surrender and release the hostages, the war could possibly end. I like that! 🐦

Of course that is open for debate, as are most things (other than death and taxes); but if I can say one thing positive about Senator Fetterman: He seems to have dressed up for this particular interview, as his sweatshirt looks more stylish and new, versus some of athletic apparel he dons on a weekday as he is walking the Halls of Congress.
