For those who still dont get it after Barack, lookup the word lineage. We are talking about American Descendents of Chattel Slavery, where did your parents come from, and went thru, and under which government? Be sure to answer the answers to those questions out loud before typing.
@dogbern5 жыл бұрын
I don’t think lineage has anything to do with this. First and foremost Kamala Harris is a non-white woman born in the 60s. She certainly knows what it is like to grow up in that era as a woman. If you say she is not a descendant of slaves and hence not qualified to secure black votes then who is? Do you want Rev. Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton? If you can disqualify candidates you should be able to suggest ones that are qualified as well. And if you concerned about slavery know that Latin America was the main destination of millions of africans in the Atlantic slave trade. A president leads the whole nation not a particular group of people. So we should be thankful that we have a candidate who admits that policing and the prison system among other issues are problems in the minority communities.
@dogbern5 жыл бұрын
J Jackson the last name is Dogbe not sure if you were trying to be funny. Anyways I am not trying to insult anyone here. I don’t troll on the internet. Anyways the term “Afro-Americans/African Americans” can be quite confusing. For me anyone who is American with African roots is African American period. Was Obama a great president? In my opinion yes! Could he have done much more for the “African-American” community? Probably. But this is a democracy we talking about. There are checks and balances in the system. The WALL saga should give you an idea of how the government here works. But one thing you can’t deny is that the Obama’s presidency has given hope to black and brown kids that they too can one day hold such a high office. Now do you know a lot of the hip hop artist you probably listen to are of Caribbean descent? Doesn’t Drake rep Canada but has influence and investments here in the US? So the question is who should Kamala Harris run as? So we are quick to approve of a woman of European descent than one of African descent?

She let the officer off with only about 12 months of time. Ms. Harris opposed bodycams for officers in CA. Ms. Harris didn't want to investigate officers involved in controversial shootings. Kamala Harris I think should have stood up for Police Reform bill of Tim Scott or at least stood up in Senate for a debate over the Tim Scott Police Reform bill or expand on the bill for improvement! I recall Tim Scott explaining the bill what stood out was a FBI reported of crimes of Policemen involving citizens for their investigation of Police crimes against citizens ! I also wonder if FBI got involvemnt would lead to Federal Courts, Judges taking away from State's county District courts where crime took place ! Now I am wondering if it would be easier for a murdering Policeman to be paroled after about 5 or 10 years on these 20 or more sentences in a Country court trail and Judge ! Federal Crime conviction sentences a convicted policeman would be held longer in prison awithout parole!If it is a not a Democrat plan the Washington DC Democrats in Senate or House of Representatives will not vote for Republicans bills !There are some bright, caring Republicans as well as Democrats who could have bills, and programs worthy of a vote and expansion for the good of USA citizens ! I am wondering about voting for any person who can not look beyond their own party when voting on bills, stimulus package ,and other programs that are helpful to people!

@@SuperMovieLvr933 - Ha! It aged just fine because I was correct. She had no chance at being president and Biden picking her for VP will pretty much be a liability despite her being good as a debater and qualified. She has too much baggage and won't generate excitement to get people to the polls outside of heavily populated liberal areas. Biden was a complete idiot for saying that he would only pick a women for VP. You keep that as a secret in order to bring validity to the selection to show that they were chosen among a long list of candidates that were male and female. The pick comes off as appeasing the "black" voters and it makes no sense. The Harris pick would have been better if we didn't know for months that only a woman will be chosen and then the riots/protests made it about skin color. That is why the pick was pretty much Ho Hum for the most part.

Although Yvette Carnell, Tommy Curry, Jason Black and many other esteemed individuals within our community contribute, greatly their analysis of our collective condition, we must look beyond them , take individual initiative to intellectually enhance ourselves and trust in our own abilities. Far too often , we lose ourselves to the emotional fervor that we experience when we are moved by the truths imparted by charismatic activists within our communities . This can impair us ,, which in turn impedes us from critically examining the information that is being imparted. No one person know everything. Black Americans are racist against each other based on skin color just as whites are racist against us based on skin color. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED. Kamala was born in OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA! She has two Black parents. Her mother is a Carribean Black who moved to Canada for work! her father a Black Jamaican, and she was born in America! FURTHERMORE: She looks like my daughter and me and her dad are African American, so if she (Kamala Harris) is not African American then what is she? African Americans do not all have dark skin. Police shouldn’t be issued weapons until they have 5 years on the job. It should be mandatory for police to visit 3 businesses & 1 home or vise-versa on a daily basis & meet the business owners/managers & residents that live in the areas where they patrol. Cops should only be allowed to pull 1 weapon out during a traffic stop or call involving 1 person. Cops that murder unarmed ppl should be suspended without pay & ALL cameras should be turned over “immediately” to the DA’s office. All payouts should be made by police unions, not tax payers.

Candidates should demonstrate knowledge, present with at least responsible, amount of Information and intelligences, regarding their goals for Presidency! Presidential candidate should exhibit self awareness , identifying, their focuses / stands to accomplish objectives if elected! , We live a country with many minorities no one candidate will advocate their actions only, for one group of population! However, I do agree that responsible candidates should include in objections addressing all social injustices surrounding affected populations or races! Today, many people of color or whatever, identification chosen among black/ African Heritage Americans has DNA not just representing African heritage!r For her to identify herself as African American with one parent from African heritage as Jamaica!
